How to say Good Morning in Spanish
The Spanish word that is used to say "good morning" is buenos días. But being among friends, you can address them by by simply saying "Hi!"
Note that you can use the expression buenos días when you enter a place and also when you leave, as a way to express the person or group of people have a good day.

If you are being introduced to someone, it is common in Latin America to kiss the person on the cheek, which can be surprising to some foreigners! Most countries in Latin America consider a kiss on the cheek acceptable between a woman and a man, between two women, mother-children (regardless of their age), and less often between two men (it is a common practice in Argentina and Uruguay). It is also important to note that in Spain is common to give a kiss on each cheek! Along with the kiss there is usually also a handshake involved.
