It lets you practice both sides of practical conversations in a comfortable, stress-free environment, so that you're ready to respond when you're out in the real world.

Japanese culture is a big part of speaking Japanese and getting around in Japan. Each of the lessons in this series provides you with cultural insights so that you know what to expect even before you arrive!
Expand your vocabulary.
Improving your vocabulary is an important part of boosting your conversation skills. That's why each lesson in the Play the Part series comes with a specially selected list of words and phrases related to the lesson's topic, allowing you to expand both what you can say and what you can understand.
Polish your pronunciation.

Does Rocket Japanese align with the JLPT?
Yes! Rocket Japanese aligns with levels N5 and N4 of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT). Rocket Japanese Level 1 covers JLPT level N5, while Levels 2 and 3 together cover JLPT level N4.
Levels N4 and N5 are described by JLPT as the ability to understand basic Japanese, covering "daily topics," "typical expressions," and "daily life." As such, we describe Rocket Japanese as teaching "conversational" or "everyday" Japanese. Although described as "basic" Japanese, JLPT levels N5 and N4 cover a hefty amount of vocabulary and grammatical structures!
