Lesson 3.3 - Hacer mucha calor hoy.

Both Mauricio and Amy say "hace mucha calor hoy" (it is very hot today). Calor is masculine (el calor) so, shouldn't it be "mucho calor"? Or, am I missing something? Regards, Dave
