So far so gut, need to check further lessons though as this is just the second on Module 1 Starter
I like the format of the course but am disappointed that the presenter with an English accent has been replaced with one with an American accent. Also I have spotted a few mistakes with the words spoken by the tutor compared to that written on screen.
And in the latest version the "Play it" elements of the lessons won't work on my computer whereas previously I had no problem with them.
I love it. I now can listen to the narration while I walk outside.
I purchased the German Rocket course a few years ago, but haven't been practicing enough up till recently. What a great course and such a well organized and comprehensive, with so many options to learn and practice. Will definitely try out other languages, probably spanish/Italian and French. Will also be glad to see more courses in other languages as well (e.g Scandinavian maybe?)
I just started with this course and I find the content really comprehensive. Exercises are nicely structured and helpful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. BUT! (now for the bad part):
FOR GOD SAKE, please reduce the narrator content. She just keeps blabbering in English and even in the first lesson it starts to feel unnatural and annoying. Lessons are 30min long and they could be half that size if she just stops her completely unnecessary commentary. I REALLY hope she will just stop talking in more advanced lessons and I will hear more German. As you can see I am really annoyed with that haha.
All in all its a really good course and good value.
Cheers

Response from Rocket Languages: Hi Andrija - Level 1 of Rocket German is a beginners course so there is more explanations in English and less German as it can be overwhelming if there was too much German. As the course progresses there is more German and less English!
Rocket Languages is awesome. You can listen, write, and even quiz yourself while learning new words in a fun way.
Hi, i am new using this app, so far i see this app so good. so interactive. but i find some bugs.
In french lesson, in every intro when 2 people do conversation, its always have a dialog words/script bellow. but today i try another language like germany. there isn't any dialog words/script bellow the conversation. I hope you adding it soon, because there many information which i didnt find in the notes there. regrads C.Blake

Response from Rocket Languages: Hi Kangabu - It sounds like you have adjusted the settings on the "Play it!" activity. At the top right of the activity there is a settings button, which allows you to show/hide various parts of the text to make it harder!
I've been taking weekly private lessons in German for 3 months. When Rocket had their courses 60% off I got all 3 levels of German. Rocket is an amazingly great addition to learning German for me. I can practice daily and can hear the language spoken by native German speakers and a British chick and I like that, she is great but I can hear the difference. I love all of the different parts to each unit. I'm wondering if there is a more extensive writing part that I've missed on my dashboard? And HOW can I ever learn to do the German 'R'?!? I'm a teacher myself and never thought an online course would be as effective as a classroom teacher but it is! (Fortunately I teach choirs so I hope I can't be replaced.) So HUGE thanks to Rocket Language German and the presenters. I am probably one of the few non-Germans who think the German language is sexy! Auf Wiedersehen!
I could not get past the incredibly annoying woman with her fingernails-on-chalkboard voice. The squeaking, the overemphatic emoting, the inane chatter and the off-putting accent have driven me away from this program in the first 5 minutes.

Response from Rocket Languages: Hi Kat; I am sorry to hear that you didn't gel with our Rocket German presenter. We are actually close to releasing an all new interactive audio course for Rocket German, with all new voices!
I would recommend using this website for any tricky words in German that you find trouble saying.
