I just started using RocketJapanese last week, and so far I have been nothing but impressed. It's easy to use - no complicated pages within pages- and gives me exactly what I need for each lesson. I don't have to figure it out on my own. The audio lessons are interesting and easy to follow, and the teachers speak clearly so I can understand everything they're saying. And the practice tools are really easy to use! I feel like I've actually learned how to speak instead of random words that will form a sentence eventually. I've tried several learning methods prior to Rocket Languages and I'm definitely sticking to this one!

This website is quite the learning site! It has very good other reviews, others including what I will say further on. But all of the experience I had over the first couple of days is shown here. I will probably not use this website for long periods of time because of the money included, but it is a good experience if you are new to the language, and had surprising features, such as the kanji and romaji, and previously I had gone on other websites which lacked those features.
I really am enjoying this website and it's features, which also include many known phrases and accurate translations, unlike other websites.
This website is easy to use, and you can include vocabulary in the my vocab section. I really enjoy using this, because it is an easy way to study japanese and any other language.
Although I do not want to use money, I will use this trial for as long as possible, cost-free.
Overall I would give this website 4/5 stars, the 1 star missing would be full free japanese training, although I'm certain after research that it might not exist.
But, even after that, the quality of this website is high, and the website is very intimidating to other ones. Rocket Languages is a very good starting website to learn languages on, and others should give it a try!

I really happy about learning languages with Rocket Languages. I completely found it helpful.
I excitedly learn how to speak Japanese every morning. It makes me feel like having a friend to talk to.
I am going to keep on learning other languages with this website after being able to speak Japanese.

I like to listen to the audio lessons on my back to and from work a couple of times each. I find it really sticks only if I listen more than once. I like all the different kinds of tests available, and the language recognition software. This is much more challenging than a class you take in college, I think because of the language recognition. You can get by with terrible pronunciation in class but not with Rocket Record on even Medium mode. The only thing I found lacking was in learning hiragana, which I think can best be taught with mnemonics. I use two free apps for that and I learned hiragana very quickly with just the mnemonic flash cards and games in the apps. I also wish the website worked better in Firefox, my preferred browser. Otherwise, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to others.

I've used Rocket Languages for two languages now (Korean and Japanese) and have yet to regret either purchase. Rocket Languages is, in my opinion, a straight-forward and effective interface for all of my language needs.

I even use the program to brush up on advanced Spanish skills from time to time and have seen good results in a reasonable time frame. No doubt one of my better investments of both time and money!

Everything I could ask for and more.
There are almost always sales to help with the price.
Their free trial is superb.
They feel super friendly, are easy to understand, and actually know what they’re talking about.
And that’s just what I was expecting!
They’ve got resources galore all included with purchases.
They’ve got notes and flash cards and dictionaries in all four written languages and more!

While I've already finished 4 semesters of Japanese class which ended me on the intermediate level, I found this site and was intrigued on the amount of content and materials they are selling. At first, I doubt myself if I will find it not worth it to try the materials starting from the basics... But after finishing a module, I found myself again refreshed and learned something new especially on the conversation and grammar side.

It's a new experience which adds as a reinforcement to my current Japanese knowledge. The interactive audio which takes an average of 20 - 30 minutes is kinda nice to listen to. They are very detailed and yet explained clearly. Other things like the quiz and vocabulary identification is kinda nice too plus the culture notes which emphasizes on how you should act on different circumstances where the language is really native too.

I'm happy to say that it's really worth it if you're either a beginner or already in intermediate level.

After taking a few Japanese courses in college, I ended up moving and having no access to formal instruction. While I was able to learn a few words here and there through various internet sources, most free resources give only very basic information about grammar and writing. I purchased a few textbooks which helped explain some basic grammar and writing, but there was no way to effectively test what I had learned. I was able to read and write a bit better, but I had next to no experience speaking the language since nobody around me also spoke it. So I finally started looking up instructional courses and stumbled upon Rocket Japanese.

As a full-time college student, it is a bit pricey, but nowhere near as bad as some other courses, and it's definitely not as expensive as a college course. It also covers more ground than my previous college courses did! As of now, I've finished the first module and gotten started on the second. I have a few criticisms, but they're mostly related to organization and romanization. The content itself is great, though the audio lessons start off with exaggerated pronunciation for people who have never heard or spoken the language before. It appears to lessen as you progress.

Started Rosetta Stone at first and did not like the structure of how they want you to learn to how I ACTUALLY learn. I purchased this after a trial because after 10 minutes of Rocket-Japanese I learned 5 useful phrases that I still haven't forgotten. With Rosetta Stone I was just confused because there is no explanation of anything you're seeing or saying. Rocket-Japanese tells you the word in English/Japanese and writes the word in English, Hiragana and Katakana. Being able to hear accents and pronunciation has helped how I sound greatly. I will continue to use this as well as supplement another useful tool.

Great stuff!

Just bought today been looking through the course and I have to say the structure and integration of the way you learn with Rocket languages is by far the best I've seen. I've gone through so many different systems and learned bits and pieces but they always seemed lacking in the way they presented the language be it Japanese or any other this system might be the best I've seen other than having an actual tutor or class.
