Rocket Languages was my first choice to try to learn Japanese. Price was reasonable, and I liked the voice recognition technology so as to get feedback on my pronunciation, plus as a proud expatriate Kiwi, I liked the fact that the company had been founded in Christchurch, NZ (I believe?).
My partner is Japanese and so I had her try the interface and she was impressed with the accuracy of the voice recognition. I liked being able to download lessons to my phone and practice on my daily walks.
Since then I have attended many Japanese classes at a number of schools, been exposed to other online apps, and tried other ways to learn Japanese.
Sometimes, I leave Rocket Languages for lengthy periods as my enthusiasm for learning Japanese wanes, but I always come back to it for revision and to rekindle my enthusiasm. Having life-long access makes this possible and is great value.
I have recommended it to many friends and fellow students and none have had a bad word to say about it.
I like the score that accumulates as you use the app, as this encourages you to study longer, as does the overall ranking that updates as you study. I am competitive, and this app encourages that.

Good, not great product, with notes were a little better, speech recognition could use some work. Has helped me a lot, and if you put in the work you will learn a lot. Put only one star for buying again as I do not need to learn more than one language.

Price was good, buy it when it goes on sale which is a lot, cause I still get e-mails lol. Haven't needed to use customer service as of yet.

So far loving the course, being able to record and compare myself readily to actual speakers makes pronounciation learning much simpler and I like the fact that there is multiple activities tied to each little module to help further ingrain the info, even if it is a little hard at times.

I love the course even though it is hard. What I mean is that it is like I am back in school learning English as a kid. the other course I took did not explain for instance WA or DESU etc but had you repeat those words. This Rocket Japanese like being in a Japanese school.

Rocket Language is AWESOME! I’ve never been the best at self teaching so finding Rocket Language was a real gift! I feel like I’m in a classroom when I learn with Rocket. I’ve been learning Japanese through Rocket and it’s been so easy. Not nearly as difficult as I first feared it would be!!

I like Rocket Japanese language because I can study not only Japanese but also English. I can study good voice also . Sure, I want to buy again. I am happy to study again Level one too. I will introduce my friends to study with Rocket Language.

I love that this has so many ways to learn the language! I absolutely love it!! The more I practice the words on here the more I lean Japanese!!!!

Rocket Japanese is amazing. I love this course. The lessons are well planned out and easy to use. I like the progress that I'm making and am certain that I will be speaking conversational Japanese soon. Thank you Rocket Japanese!
