I bought the level 1 French course and am really impressed by it. I love the way the teaching is layered to include speaking, listening and writing. The flashcards are a great way to quickly see if phrases have lodged in your memory. I always found language learning in school hard work, but the Rocket software makes it a lot of fun. I'm hopeful that I'll have some useful language put away in the memory bank for my pending trip to Paris.

I find it very easy to use. I took French 5 years ago and this is a good refresher.

Would have been a good app if the voice recognition is reliable and accurate. There are many times that it doesn't detect anything even if I am speaking loud. And yes, I've tried multiple devices and I have a good microphone.

Emphasis on pronunciation is nice, but the voice recognition is utterly horrible. It only works about 40% of the time on the first go. I find myself just skipping it because it's so bad.

Rocket Language is the best choice I could make. It offers consistent and valuable practice. I like the fact it reinforces previous lessons and forces you to speak and hear yourself. I feel I get better with each lesson. Very motivating to keep going.
