It's really good and you can learn a lot. It is great if you're busy because you can download the lessons to listen to while you drive, cook, clean and more. I've tried a lot of different sites and books and none of them have such amazing lessons and pronunciation help. I highly recommend.
So far, I find Rocket Languages to be very helpful. My favorite feature is the cultural lesson. I wanted to study French because I fell in love with the culture as a little girl, so it's great to learn more about it. I also really love the games.
Rocket french has increased my french speaking ability, but i don't like the customer service and the price is too high. The materials doesn't contain conjugation of verbs. As a learner i think it is better to have reading exercises like comprehension.
This course really works. I find the French phrases from the lesson automatically drift into my mind while doing a workout at the gym or driving. I took an immersion French class years ago in college, which was great for a few days but then a nightmare, as I could not visualize the words without seeing them and the translations. Rocket French allows the words to sink in, with its combination of auditory first and then great reviews and games. Pimsleur is similar, and I believe a great course too, but it is twice the money. The Rocket speakers are more fun, and they teach more vocabulary—so much that I need to go over each lesson two or three times to get it all. It’s worth it, as after only one week I am dreaming in French. Drawback: I can’t play the lesson on my smartphone without being online, and Rocket gobbled up all my minutes in a couple of days. Does anyone know how to download it so it can play offline?
Rocket French has greatly helped me with the correct pronunciation and feeling more at ease using French in everyday situations. I feel I can now move on to learning more and more with confidence. Thank you.
I am enrolled in the French section of the Rocket Languages Program. I can recommend it to any person wishing to learn a new language or brush up on present skills. There is a wide variety of tasks and exercises as well as an excellent interactive opportunity to enhance comprehension and speaking skills utilizing native speakers. This program progresses to include a large vocabulary, which can make it easier to read books, understand dialogue on the radio and TV in the language you choose. I particularly like the every day expressions used in the dialogues. For the more diligent student, there are excellent writing and speaking exercises.
I've learned so much from Rocket Languages, the platform is very well done. All stages make sense as you move on. It isn't too much grammar or vocabulary, just the right amount to keep you interested and invested. Exercises are excellent for you to memorize and keep you familiar with the language.
I love how it helps me to retrain what I learned. I can't say that for the others.
I had a trial and bought 3 level courses all together straight way. It’s the best learning experience so far, better than the evening class I attended 8 years ago. Leaderboard points system, Voice recognition and reinforcement tasks make learning more fun and efficient. It works well for my lifestyle as I work full time.
I have used it for 11 days and I am very pleased with my progress so far. Thank you!
I am aiming to finish level1 by the end of the year. I will update my progress after that. Good luck everyone!
If your goal is to speak French then this is in my opinion the best product there is. I love the fact that you can purchase it and have lifetime access.
I have tried and I give my reviews for each of the products that I spent a great deal of time with: Duolingo - I completed the earlier tree then got fed up with it in the end(1 star-waste of time), Babbel (I completed Babbel French version a few years ago (3 stars-fun and entertaining but not half as good for learning), pimsleur's french 2.5 star(boring and not great), Lingvist ( 0 stars - in other words a complete waste of time), Ah, yes, Conju was very useful(4/5), in getting on top of verb conjugations but I would say not so important, as it seems as if it didn't translate that well into speaking. Maybe useful for reading/comprehension and writing. Quizik is one of the programmes that promises a great deal but doesn't really seem to deliver since when you have achieved in one section it goes on to another, never to repeat the previous sections. The lack of reinforcement meant that the knowledge was not retained very well. (I got to C1 level in Quizik) For this reason I would give it 2.5/5
I am just sorry that I wasted so much time with the other programmes/products.
