I used to be very impressed by rocketfrench, but there are a lot of things that I don't agree with anymore after almost two years of using it.
The good:
1. Listening to native speakers, repeating it, comparing it, having the scripted conversations - all that is good for pronunciation and I enjoy that.
2. there is a structure
The bad:
1. Updates that feel like beta-versions -> I did not pay to be a beta tester
2. The translation approach is outdated and will not lead to fluency.
3. The translation approach often does not make sense in the grammar chapters.
hints as to which version of multiple options to use are literal translations instead of contextual hints, that would lead to better understanding of the concepts underneath.
4. As in many other courses it is mostly very formal written french that you learn, sometimes some "real spoken french" is mixed in and that mix does not make much sense as it mixes different "registers" like formal, neutral, familiar french.
Most upsetting are the updates, that change the programm and not always for the better.
If it were always changes for the better, improving things and giving more options, I would be fine with that.
But sometimes things are being taken away and taking things away from customers is not a good idea.
That is not a problem for new customers, cause they are not missing anything.
But it is a problem for me as a user of almost two years and I don't have what I bought anymore.

We’d like to clarify that the recent updates you've mentioned are part of a user interface refresh, designed to improve the overall learning experience. While the visual design may look different, none of the content or core functionality of the activities you originally purchased has been removed or altered. The listening, pronunciation, and grammar lessons and structured progression you highlighted as beneficial remain fully intact!
On ipad voice playback won't work. No reply from customer service. Back to the Fluenz program.

Unfortunately, the app version of Rocket Languages doesn't support the voice playback feature. We hope that you'll continue your French language-learning journey and wish you all the best!
The program is so full of bugs. I have attempted on both my Mac and iPhone.

I have been highly satisfied so far.
The lessons are very thorough and set up for different learning styles. The voice recognition is strong with few exceptions. The content is massive.
The fixed price is a lot higher than the monthly prices charged by other language learning programs, but that price gets you everything at once and permanently for learning at your own pace. There are hundreds of hours of content that easily justify the cost and if you stick with it, Rocket Language will be cheaper after a few years than the monthly service.

very fun really helped i think that the price is very high though because i am only a child and i do not have that sort of money

However, we have made the decision to offer our courses for a one-time fee that provides you with lifetime access, not a subscription, because we believe that learning a language is a lifelong commitment. Additional grammar explanations helpful. The pronunciation of "Je" or "J' "changes significantly depending on the words and their grammatical spelling following "Je". Rote memorization is not a good approach when grammar determines pronunciation.

Awesome to hear that you're enjoying our comprehensive Language and Culture lessons! We understand that rote memorization isn't everyone's cup of tea, which is why we offer three reinforcement activities focused on pronunciation at the end of each lesson.
I like this program because it touches all the bases (reading, writing, listening and speaking), introduces very usable vocabulary from the start and I really like the cultural and grammar part. The storyline is entertaining.
The only thing that I don't like is the sound quality in the exercises, I have to replay the words/sentences nearly every time because of the stuttering playback. The second time is perfect.

pretty easy to follow and complete course, I love it so far. I would only like for the voice recognition to be a little more accurate and to have random automatic repetition of the lessons to recap previous concepts.
