Nothing to share at this point. Need to attend more classes to form an opinion

No problem, Avijit! After you've tried out a few more lessons, feel free to get in touch and share your thoughts!
I was able to get it for free so that was awesome. I think that it's a lot better than Duolingo and it teaches you real stuff. The frustrating part is that the audio won't pick up on your non-native accent very well. I wish they had different graph options to track your point progress.

Good course! Easy to progress. Sometimes the mic words don't hear well.

the program gets more helpful over time, except using the microphone

I guess for emerging technology, it is not too bad. But the speaking section is extremely frustrating. I was shouting my phrases and was advised "no speech detected". Very frustrating. But overall, I'm keen to continue for the moment.

We're sorry to hear about the trouble you're facing, Bryan. If you could contact us at [email protected], we’d be glad to assist you, as this error message is probably due to a configuration issue in your settings rather than the voice recognition itself. All the best!
I have been learning french on and off for years and know a lot of vocab and the basics but was lazy with grammar and sentence structure. I have done a fair few apps and podcasts but Rocket French is the best I have used for building structure in all areas. I love it and would recommend it. It is interestijng , well paced and covers a wide range of topics and phrases.
Areas for improvement - As per a lot of other reviews, I can't use the speach areas on my laptop as it doesn't pick them up well (it's better with headphones but still not great) however it works fine on my phone so I just use that for speach.
Other niggle is that the French pronounciation of the American presenter/ introducer is so awful. The two french role players are understandably great but I'm suprised Rocket French used someone who pronounces so many french words and phrases so badly. It's less of an issue as you then hear the french role players covering it in the role play so you hear how it should be said but it is poor someone who does not have good pronounciation has been used for a good quality paying product - which overall all Rocket French absolutely is.

Thank you for your feedback, Helen. Regarding the speech recognition issue you mentioned, it may be caused by the browser you are using. Please reach out to [email protected], and we would be happy to look into how we can assist you. Your concerns about the Rocket French voice have been noted and forwarded to the Rocket French team. If you have any additional thoughts or suggestions, please feel free to contact us. Wishing you all the best in your continued French language learning!
Still on the first module, but enjoying the program. The only thing that bothers me is that there is too much explanation and repetition even in English. I would not mind repeating dozens of times the language I am learning, but not English (unless I was taking an English course).
Response from Rocket Languages
Glad to hear you're enjoying Rocket French, Bruno. We understand your concerns regarding the English present in the course. However, the idea behind this is to provide learners with the support they need to truly grasp the structure of the language. You might also find the English limiting if your French is slightly more advanced than the current lesson you are on; if that is the case, feel free to reach out to our support team, and we would be happy to offer you advice on the best place to start!
am so happy to be here to this wonderful platform I'm so interested
Response from Rocket Languages
We're so happy to have you here! Thanks for the kind words; your excitement means a lot. Wishing you the best as you continue learning.
Overall robust content and well thought learning structure.
The voice recognition capability is spotty (sometimes creates a lot of frustration...), e.g. on very short words, number related words.
It will also be helpful if the "vocabulary" related features (marking it in the class; review it together in the "tools" section) are available in mobile version.
Response from Rocket Languages
Thank you for the thoughtful feedback. We're glad you found the content robust and the structure well designed; that means a lot to us. We understand how frustrating inconsistent voice recognition can be, especially with short or number-related words, and we’re continually working to improve that experience. Your suggestion about enhancing vocabulary features on the mobile version is a great one and has been noted. Thanks again for helping us improve!
