I enjoy the explanations behind what is being learned and the pace of learning. The length of the lessons are reasonable and the repetition is not too much, but just enough to keep you moving at a decent incline towards your French speaking goals. I enjoy looking over past lessons for review and find the program easy to navigate.
This is a great course for learning a language. There are several methods used to help you learn, so any learning style can flourish. And, it doesn't get boring. Lots of interaction.
With a 1200+ day streak on Duolingo, and some work on Memrise, I feel I have a decent vocabulary. Rocket is filling a big void in oral comprehension and speaking. I started at the beginning rather than jumping ahead, which was a good move. I really appreciate that all speaking is done by real people -- no computer generated voices.
I've bought the course over two years ago and I was on it on and off by my own choice/lack of time. I moved to France, then covid happened next week. Now that I've finished uni I finally have time to do it with more consistency. I do one lesson every day with additional reading or phone apps. The course is great as it gives you reading, writing, speaking and listening experience. The exercises at the end of each lesson are a big help to memorize new words and grammar. For me it sometimes takes over 2h to do one full lesson with making my own notes and practice, so the price of the course is fair I think. It's very well constructed. Pleasant and easy to follow if you're determined.
very satisfied with this course. let me to listen, practice, speak....and learn
I just LOVE my Rocket French courses. I purchased the complete packages (Rocket French 1, 2, 3) 2 years ago and I study every day. I am 50 years old and I have never studied French language. My daughter speaks French fluently through. She says that my French is improving rapidly and I am gaining excellent accent. Also, some of my friends are impressed by my new level.
My advice:
*Practice daily, at least 20 minutes.
*Not in the car but at home for deep concentration.
*Solve all the exercises
Practice makes perfect.
You have made a wonderful site, well done. The only downside is that it's too expensive (I believe).
C'est tres bon! I feel like I will be making good progress and building a strong foundation for my ability to converse in French.
The pre-recorded lessons are slow, patient, and comforting. I say comforting because (at least with Rocket French,) there are two teachers who stay with you throughout the course and I've found it to be motivating to come back to my buddies (Claire & Paul in this case) to learn. I've tried other applications and programs, but Rocket Language provides the most thorough and structured language learning service by a long shot.
After several restarts I am now getting into the course and it is really well structured. Learning a language is never easy but these guys break it all down to small pieces that are easy to understand and help.
