Over the last few weeks, I have tried most of the language learning apps, some of the best were Language transfer, Rosetta stone and Pimsleur. Then I took the recommendation from a youtube channel, on faith I bought the rocket language course, and I can honestly say that none of those other apps are really even very close. Rocket language is where you want to be if you're serious. Much more thorough, like you're taking it seriously. Those other apps will teach you to speak, Rocket will teach you everything from writing, reading, speaking, very efficiently and quickly.

I have just started the program, so don't have clear opinions for the start rating yet...my only immediate suggestion would be to include the gendered article when you introduce a noun. I know it's adding to the things a newbie needs to deal with, but learning the articles at the same time might lessen mistakes later.

Welcome to the Rocket German community, Barbara! Thank you for your suggestion. While gendered articles are an important grammar topic, we want to ensure that learners fully understand how this feature works. That's why we dedicate a full lesson to it in Module 2. If you're already familiar with topics like this, feel free to jump ahead in the course to a section that suits you!
I like the logic of the course. I also like the different ways to practice the lessons. By the time I get to the third different way to gain some mastery of the lesson, I actually have gained most of it. The repetition is helpful, not boring or tedious.

The Rocket Courses are comprehensive and cover everything I need to know! Not only do I learn reading and listening, I can also practice speaking with the voice recognition tool.
