Rocket Spanish and a cup of coffee has been the perfect way to start my day. My favorite feature is "Know It". Support has been very gracious correcting things I'm not sure about. When I travel, I've been using the new iPhone App so that I don't lose any of my skills.

Rocket Spanish is well organized and fairly easy to use. I definitely like the experience and the process. HOWEVER - They are very wishy-washy with the meanings of phrases. In an effort to teach you different phrases to say the same thing, the designers forget that words have meaning. For example, early in the lessons you discuss someone's job. They tell you that the question, "What do you do?" can be asked ?Que haces?, which is correct. Unfortunately, they also tell you that you can say, ?En que trabajas?, which is not correct. That phrase means, "What is your work?". It may sound like I'm knit-picking, bc in the context of the conversation, either phrase will do, but it is confusing when I don't know what you are asking for. In the testing, it asks me to say in Spanish "What do you you?", but it says that I was incorrect bc I responded ?Que haces?. - WHICH IS CORRECT!! The designer of the course wanted me to say ?En que trabajas?. The student isn't a mind reader, and when he/she tries to apply the words learned, it is easy to get confused. Again, words have meaning. It is lazy to say that it is "close enough", when it is in-fact no where near what you are trying to say.

I appreciate that this program approaches the language through a fully integrated and well structured experience of it--through the various reading, speaking, listening, and writing modes--all consistently presented within each unit. I can work on the skills that I most need--or the ones I most enjoy--at any stage. I like both the comprehensiveness and the flexibility of the overall format of this program. Also, the entire production--including the spoken audio, the artwork and graphics, and the integration of technology--is professional-quality, state-of-the-art work, which greatly enriches the overall experience. It's a bit pricey for me to handle, given my budget (even with the substantial discount granted)--but it will be worth it. I am considering buying a second user license for my wife, so that we may learn Spanish together for our travels (and perhaps a new life) in the Andes.

As with any language, immersion and conversation will get you the farthest, but Rocket Spanish does a good job at giving you a wide range of vocabulary and practice with the spoken language. The reinforcement tools can seem tedious at times, but repetition and commitment is vital to learning a new language. Get it on sale and it is totally worth your time and energy.

Rocket Record is a great way for me to practice my pronunciation. Since I am more of an "understand it to learn it" type learner, I supplement Rocket Spanish with other sources of grammar, but those sources don't afford me the opportunity to listen-repeat-evaluate that Rocket Record does.

I have just started learning in Rocket Spanish. I use my AirPods Pro with Noise Cancellation and the audio input and output work very well. Mauricio and Amy are very kind. I listen to not only to their pronunciation but also their vocal inflection and their personality comes through.
