Very well designed course, it is easier to learn the sounds in Chinese which is the most difficult part about learning the language once you memorize basic vocabulary.

Excellent Course, highly recommended.

Rocket Language has so many amazing learning features such as verbal production, flash cards to study, hanzi to learn to write, Anyone that truly wants to immerse them self in a new culture and language Rocket Language is the ONLY way to go. I have ADHD, and Rocket Language KEEPS me interested and wanting to learn more!

awesome-you said it I love the exercises and I find the reviews very helpful. I have also tried the games. I enjoy the tests as well. I think the recording trace for pronunciation is also very useful. had a few headaches with attaching camera and microphone.

Nice software... I don't know if this has character writing for Chinese. For those wondering this is better then Rosetta Stone. Hopefully I will stay motivated and learn Chinese like I've always wanted to do! Take the chance I try this out, maybe you will like it

It is a great program and really helps me have the courage to learn my Chinese. I lived in China for years but I had trouble learning the language. The new Rocket tools make it easy for me to build my confidence by letting me hear myself next to the tutors voice. I will be using my Chinese more and it will help me to do better on my next trip to China.

The interactive audio is excellent however I struggle with the writing component. I am not sure what would be the best way to learn written Chinese over the internet, but I know I struggle with the way it has been presented to me here. However I purchased this product to learn the spoken language which it is great to learn from.

Microphone does not pick up short words, so it is impossible to check pronunciation on basic language units. Especially debilitating for Chinese learners where tonal pronunciation is crucial.

There is very little teaching. Provided flash card sets dumping 30 new terms with no organization, no intuitive backbone reflective of that of the language itself makes me question the expertise of the instructors. This weakness is also reflected in sloppy errors: voice lines which don't match the text underneath, an occasional condescending tone to the learner, and statements that words completely new to the learner were already covered in previous lessons when they were not.

This software would be acceptable if it was free, but given the high price, it's quality does not justify a purchase.

I really do enjoy this course, I love the idea of being able to do it at my own pace. A++++++
I am just about to do my exercise but thought I would stop by and do a review first to show my appreciation and to assist others in making a decision to choose Rocket Languages.

The learning format is presented well, the only complaint is the price, which is a bit high. The voice recognition is done well however it has issues recognizing the English form of the names such as Dave some times.
