I enjoy the interactive lessons and the encouragement to speak it aloud. I wish you could slow down the speed on the app, some words I need broken down into pieces and had to go elsewhere in order to learn the correct pronunciation.

It is such a shame. Rocket has the potential to be really good, but lack of attention to detail and poor explanations mean that it fails to reach its potential.

I have almost finished my Rocket Korean course. I have benefited from it, but only because I have a Korean wife, who has been able to explain things that Rocket have left vague, not explained well or just got plain wrong. First, the good things. The reinforcement process (Flashcards, oral repetition and so on) is excellent and has helped things to stick in my mind. The voice recognition software is also pretty good. It is weak on short words of one or two syllables, but in general works well. The audio conversations and reinforcement within them are also decent. There are three big problems with Rocket, however. Firstly, it’s explanations of grammar are not very clear and sometimes contain errors. Secondly it illustrates concepts with sentences that are far too complex and contain sections which are not explained. This is incredibly frustrating, because it means that you end up rote learning a lot of phrases rather than learning how to construct your own sentences. Finally the reference material and structure is very weak.

I hate to write this, but the English guide's strange midcentury Boston brahmin accent is so distracting that I cannot hear the Korean being spoken. Aside from the strange English, the phrases used for study are very long and not broken up into memorizable parts, and there is no option to not include the very long and unnecessary "extra vocab" from the audio in the flashcards and other study.
Overall this seems to be teaching canned phrases to be stored in short-term memory, rather than starting out small and forming a true understanding of the language for long-term learning. This might be good if you're visiting Korea for a short period and need to parrot some emergency phrases, but I may have to look elsewhere to actually learn to understand Korean. Pretty disappointed in how much money I spent.

I have previously bought the French course which is excellent. I havent started my Korean lessons yet, but I have checked the structure of the course and it is excellent in comparison to other online courses as I have bought other courses. I am sure that I will learn Korean and Mandarin with you guys. Thank you!

This is really helpful on line learning. First I just tried trail and it makes me to go on. This is my second week of learning and I feel like I am improved. Also we can download and get the lesson file. Giving me percentage on my drilling and pronunciation encourages me to be competitive in learning too.

In all the time that I've been learning Korean I have not found a better system. It meets you where you are and teaches you in a very clear and easy to learn . In the few days that I've had this program I have progressed more than I have in my year of self study. Any person needing structured and interactive lessons should use this site.

A great way to be introduced into a language! With easy access and availability - Rocket Language allows you the opportunity to study at your own time and at your own pace. With a few minutes a day and reviewing it, Rocket Language helps to solidify what you just learned. I even started to notice key words and sentence from the Korean dramas I watch and started to break them down into simple terms or words that I picked up from here!

I think that it is a very helpful place to start if you are just starting to learn Korean, or if you just want to learn the basics to get you trough if you are going to visit Korea. I like how they actually test you and you can choose between Easy, Medium, and Hard in the Rocket Record. I find this very helpful since the harder it makes it for you to pronounce it well the better off you are, I myself have gone for the medium not sure if Hard is for me, I struggle a little in the medium level so I´ll probably use it on that level for a while.
