I really enjoy just plunging right into conversational Arabic and leaving the grammar till later. It seems more like the way children learn their own language. I like the way the speakers are energetic and optimistic!
I strongly agree with another reviewer who asked that there be a bar on the side of the page that refers to previous vocabulary - so we don't have to scroll up-up-up to find the words we're looking for. You mentioned that you will be adding this feature soon, but his question was about Rocket Spanish. Will my course (Rocket Arabic) be getting this feature also?
I have one more request. Is there some way to help us learn how to say the handful of "confused for each other" sets of letters in the Arabic alphabet? Like a video or a medical-type cartoon showing the position of the tongue etc when pronouncing these letters? The letters whose sounds don't appear in English are very frustrating. Just listening to them over and over is not helping me say them correctly. Kind of discouraging!
Overall I'm really enjoying the course though. Definitely the best approach to language I've ever experienced!

We will be displaying the vocab in the sidebar soon for all languages. And with regards your Arabic specific comments; I will put this to our linguistic experts and see what they say!
I've been taking weekly private lessons in German for 3 months. When Rocket had their courses 60% off I got all 3 levels of German. Rocket is an amazingly great addition to learning German for me. I can practice daily and can hear the language spoken by native German speakers and a British chick and I like that, she is great but I can hear the difference. I love all of the different parts to each unit. I'm wondering if there is a more extensive writing part that I've missed on my dashboard? And HOW can I ever learn to do the German 'R'?!? I'm a teacher myself and never thought an online course would be as effective as a classroom teacher but it is! (Fortunately I teach choirs so I hope I can't be replaced.) So HUGE thanks to Rocket Language German and the presenters. I am probably one of the few non-Germans who think the German language is sexy! Auf Wiedersehen!
Very easy to learn with this program. I am enjoying it very much.
The course structure enables learner to advance at his or her own pace. Sometimes the sentences are too long and the pronunciation too difficult to hear - even though my hearing is excellent. When I do these activities in Rocket Korean and upon listening to Pimsleur Korean in my car, I find that the Korean sound system to be more challenging than the sound system in most other languages. Perhaps being able to hear sounds at a slower pace would benefit me until I know more about how to enunciate the sounds as a Korean speaker does.
While I use the Chrome browser as directed, I must say - "All that glitters is not chrome!" Sometimes the system slows down and requires that I log out and log back on. This is a technical issue more with Chrome than with Rocket Korean.
Signed up for Rocket Italian and love it!!! The Interactive lessons are engaging and enjoyable. The reinforcement activities are a fantastic way to make sure you really absorb the lessons. Great system!
I have learned many words using another (and free) internet program but my recognized written vocabulary is much weaker than my conversational vocabulary. Rocket's emphasis upon the spoken word is what I need to work on now. I expect to make annual trips to Ecuador for the next few years and definitely need advanced conversational skills.
Been doing the Rocket German for about 3 months. So far, I've enjoyed it for the most part and am looking forward to getting into the second Level. My one complaint/suggestion is that I find the written lessons to be poorly set up. The focus looks like it is supposed to be on grammar in many lessons, yet they are taught with 20+ new vocabulary words in many of them. So instead of focusing on the new grammar rules, you get lost trying to figure out what all of the new vocabulary is. Would suggest using only words already known when first introducing a grammar lesson so that the focus is kept on the grammar and not diverted to the new words. I've come out of several of the written lessons with no more knowledge of the grammar rules then when I went in because 90% of the examples were with new vocabulary. Audio lessons are great though, and overall I still think there are many positives. Looking forward to the updated level one German whenever it is due out.

Hi Brian - It's a balancing act to know when new vocabulary should be introduced, as everyone is different in how they learn. Our approach has been to deliver common words and important terminology in our lessons, so that over time the essential vocabulary you need is built up.
I've been using this course for two years plus now, and that I still continue to use it daily demonstrates that it does a good job of keeping me motivated.
Ultimately, with learning any language, it's good to use as wide selection of different sources, which I still do, and you should definitely do anyway - healthy way to learn.
The strength of this course is that lessons are broken up in a very logical way; lesson length and difficulty is scaled up at a good pace; the desktop and mobile experience content-wise is the same, though presented accordingly; and the tests give you good motivation to go back and improve and correct your mistakes.
Most importantly: there is a feedback option, so if you spot inconsistencies or mistakes you can inquire, and I have found the customer service side of things to be constructive and positive - they certainly tolerate my pedantry!
Me encantó , buenísimo, está de lo mejor 100 por ciento recomendado
I started learning español on a different app, but life stuff forced me to drop out. That, plus I felt completely unprepared for conversation after a year or so of lessons.
Now, with Rocket Spanish, I'm restarting on Square One. At first, the vocabulary seemed way too simple. But then, I realized that RS really gets me right into conversation mode, while also helping me to up my pronunciation game - the exact areas where my previous app fell short. So, for now, I plan to keep on moving step by step.
I supplement RS with Destinos videos/book and songs. A bit down the road, I will add a language transfer app to the mix. RS is doing a great job of providing a base to learn with, while filling in some old gaps.
