Having completed the Level 1 Japanese course I feel confident saying that is a great value for the price. This is a solid course that does a good job of teaching basic grammar, vocabulary, and the hiragana and katakana writing systems. A decent amount of practice material is provided as well. My only major complaint is that the voice recognition software used to grade pronunciation is not reliable, which can be frustrating as it is used for graded assignments. However the course is constantly being improved and I believe it's only a matter of time before that final wrinkle gets ironed out. Even if it doesn't, this is still a great place to start learning the Japanese language.
rocket languages helps me a lot with korean words it's so cool
I just started with this course and I find the content really comprehensive. Exercises are nicely structured and helpful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. BUT! (now for the bad part):
FOR GOD SAKE, please reduce the narrator content. She just keeps blabbering in English and even in the first lesson it starts to feel unnatural and annoying. Lessons are 30 min long and they could be half that size if she just stops her completely unnecessary commentary. I REALLY hope she will just stop talking in more advanced lessons and I will hear more German. As you can see I am really annoyed with that haha.
All in all it's a really good course and good value.
Cheers

Hi Andrija - Level 1 of Rocket German is a beginners course so there is more explanations in English and less German as it can be overwhelming if there was too much German. As the course progresses there is more German and less English!
The course is effective and I am making progress, but the voice recognition software is very glitchy and inconsistent.

It's great to hear that you are making progress through the course, Patrick. We have contacted you via email to try and assist you with the voice recognition issues you are experiencing. All the best!
Voice recognition is very variable with certain short words. eg un, deux trois. The rest of the numbers appear fine. How do you get better than 35% on a one word answer eg être?
Overall I think the programme is very good
Who couldn't love Rocket Languages Spanish? This is truly an intuitive language-learning wonder! Thanks, Rocket Team
It is a great program and i would recommend it so many times to people if they wanted to learn a language
This course is great! I enjoy doing it very much. It triggers conversation from the start!
The female native speaker’s pronunciation is quite challenging, and I’ve had to go offsite to find the correct pronunciation of certain words. Additionally, the language recognition feature is not always accurate.
Response from Rocket Languages
Thank you for your honest feedback. We’re sorry to hear the pronunciation and voice recognition haven’t always met your expectations. Our team is continuously working to improve these features, and your input is very helpful. If you’re open to it, we’d love to hear more about the specific words or lessons that gave you trouble; please feel free to reach out at [email protected].
I wish you had a true native speaker instead of Amy.
Response from Rocket Languages
Hi Michael, thank you for your review. We provide a variation of voices in the course to expose users to many different types of Spanish. You'll be pleased to know that Amy is replaced in Rocket Spanish Level 2 and 3 with native speakers.
