I have tried many sites and books for learning a new language and this is by far the most effective and promising program I have ever used. I want to teach overseas but did not want to go without knowing the language. This program is very detailed and easy to use. I am excited to become fluent.

The website is very user friendly and more interactive towards users. This is much more useful than officially enrolling in a course because in here you can have control of your time. The resources are also useful and resourceful.

I love using Rocket Languages to help me in my french class. It is so helpful and can be used in class and at home. I recommend it to everyone. It easily goes over each lesson in different methods so you can choose how you learn. Another amazing part is that you can listen to and repeat the French as you hear it so you can learn pronunciation as well.

Rocket Japanese

Rocket Japanese is a pretty good introduction to Japanese. It's definitely far better than Rosetta Stone and a few other programs I had some experience with (but fortunately never actually wasted money on), but despite how they boast about teaching grammar, it does a woefully inadequate job of teaching even the most basic grammar, and there are some strange choices for vocabulary to teach: for instance, there is an entire survival kit that is more than 80% words that I will never use because I don't drink alcohol or eat pork or shrimp. That being said, when used alongside other resources, it can be a fantastic introduction to Japanese. I especially recommend Tangorin.com (a dictionary) as a vocab supplement and Tae Kim's "Guide to Japanese" for grammar.

I believe that the purpose to Rocket Japanese is to teach you enough of a language to be able to have some level of basic interaction with natives if you go to Japan. To actually be able to learn the language to any real degree of fluency, you'll need a lot more. Nihongonomori.com is a good place to go after completing Rocket Japanese if you want to keep going in your Japanese studies.

I am taking the Italian course and it's been great so far. The recorded dialogues are clear and engaging and increase difficulty at an appropriate rate. I am actually surprised at how motivating the point system is -- I find myself staying longer to complete course work and rack up points. The exercises can get repetitious, but that comes with the territory in a language course and is really jus what one should be doing. I have purchased three levels of instruction and am looking forward to completing all of the levels before I go live abroad for a year.

I was originallyyoung drawn in by the great reviews and I'm happy to say I agree with them. The pacing of the lessons is great and the price was well worth it especially if you compare to classroom lessons

I very much enjoy the interactive audio lessons in Rocket German. Paul and Nik are a kick!
The program as a whole has a lot of useful phrases and is much more up to date than, say, Rosetta Stone
I wish the quizes had more questions
I would like to do the voice recognition but Mac Computers do not do well with Google Chrome so I do the best I can without it.

awesome app -- I am really learning stuff while driving around in the car. I have gone from virtually no spanish at all, to being able to at least greet my spanish speaking clients, offer them something to drink, and handle some basic conversational points.

Rocket Languages allows me to study at my own pace but also immerse myself in the culture and language. It also fits multiple learning styles and I love the new travelouges, I've already listened to the entire spanish one!
