A few notes -- Distinguish between travel Spanish vs. a full language acquisition focus.
On the full language acquisition pathway:
Get to basic verb conjugation with genders earlier.
Establish the concept of the present tense.
Keep the pattern of building vocab with valuable phrases.
The product has dramatically improved since 2018 -- good work. When I ran the language learning product management for Rosetta Stone foundations, I looked at you. I like your progress.

Thank you for your feedback. It's great to hear your perspective on our Rocket Spanish course. We have divided our course into Audio lessons, where you'll focus on speaking and listening. These lessons cover topics that you might find more relevant to travel or will teach you the basics if you plan to spend a few weeks in a Spanish-speaking country. Language and Culture lessons, on the other hand, are designed to guide users through more in-depth grammar alongside what is covered in the Audio lessons. Many of the topics you've mentioned are explicitly addressed in the Language and Culture lessons in the latter half of Module 1. We want the course to be accessible to users who are learning a second language for the first time. Therefore, to begin with, we provide examples of the present tense in the Audio lessons without getting bogged down in grammar. This way, when we dive into a more detailed explanation, learners can make connections to what they have already seen. In other words, our approach is to ease learners into grammar rather than overwhelming them with jargon that might be inaccessible. I hope this helps explain some of the ethos of our course. Good, bite sized pieces! Easy enough so you don't get discouraged. But seems like real speech, which is exactly what I want and need!

Using the free trial. At the moment it has me as a complete beginner so I'm not really seeing whether It will suit me when I need to learn things I don't already know. Sometimes the microphone doesn't seem to work when I'm speaking which is annoying. At the moment couldn't say whether it would be worth buying or not

Much better Italian learning tool than Babbel, which I previously tried. The format is fun, engaging and repetitive enough to enhance learning. So I look forward to my daily lessons.
We'll see how 3 months of practice (plus previous Italy trips) improves my conversational skills in Sicily this May.

This is my second language with Rocket Languages. Having tried other methods of language learning in the past, I've found the course a much more rounded experience, focusing on listening, speaking, reading and writing. Grammar does have its own lessons but it's also interspersed with conversation to make comprehension more thorough. Overall, the course makes learning enjoyable and, importantly, the conversations make it relevant to daily life.

Consistency in language learning is challenging to maintain, as it depends not only on your motivation but also on your schedule and other external factors. Consider using our points system to set a daily goal for yourself. You may find this approach easier to manage than committing to a specific number of lessons.
