English is my first language and I also know a lot of Spanish as a result of formal study and where I grew up. I’m trying to learn some Italian to prepare for an extended stay planned for fall 2019. I’m 62 and work full-time and was concerned I wouldn’t make time for this, but it’s starting to be easy as I familiarize myself with the system. It’s easy to turn something on while I’m excercising or on the way home from work and learn something new or review a prior lesson in fifteen minutes. I’m hoping for great things!

The voice narrator needs to be replaced, she is too monotone. Lessons should still to an extent reteach verb forms or grammar rules they have mentioned before, instead of telling the audience to refer to an obscure moment in a previous audio session. Besides that, the course is helpful.

Rocket Languages is by far the best language product I have seen on the market. I have looked at many products and have learned several languages using other modes of learning. They were OK, but Rocket Languages...I love! I highly recommend this product to others.

Rocket Languages is an awesome way to learn German or any language. It is light years ahead of the way I learned French at High School long ago.

In place of learning lists of words, you are given phrases to use so that you learn idioms rather than setting yourself up to use stilted expressions that don't accord with actual usage. You can still build your own vocabulary lists and export them to a file in your computer; and you can create your own notes to accompany these lists to gain understanding of how the words are used and case modified. I was offered .csv but would prefer .doc, but this is a minor matter.

The ability to download the initial conversational lessons is a great plus along with also being able to download .pdf files so that you can refresh yourself in these lessons again in a different context such as in your car.

Learning to say words, phrases and sentences from native speaking German tutors ensures that you learn to speak with a minimum of foreign accent, and the repetition with variations speeds the assimilation of the language. This experience is enhanced by your being able to record and re-record your rendition of a recording made for you by a tutor.

I love this app. I have tried many other apps and they don't compare to Rocket. I had taken one class in Japanese at a local college and couldn't continue because of scheduling conflicts. Rocket Japanese has allowed me to continue studying Japanese. It is the next best thing to being in class. I have found the lessons to be extremely informative and, most importantly, relevant. The lessons are real world examples of conversations that I might actually have. I highly recommend this program.

A great start to learning the German language. The interactive lessons are so clear. Makes me want to challenge and improve my German. I am very happy with my everyday lessons and repeating it when I need to. Thanks to all involved.

I've looked at so many German courses but I just cant find another that provides the variety of tasks with various levels of difficulty and entertainment to keep the students attention. It provides continuous entertainment and motivation.
It's never a chore to get back to study, it's a real buzz.

It really teaches language well. I am learning Egyptian Arabic and I love how Rocket Arabic is teaching to talk, read and write. Good tests and good well organised audio lessons. The most important is to be learning yourself and this app is really helpful. Well useable in phone or laptop any time.

I'm new to Chinese. Since I'll be taking a teaching position in Shanghai over the summer I've been researching, practicing, and learning how to speak Chinese and about the Chinese culture.

After three days with the Rocket Chinese trial, I decided to become a full member. Although, I use other Chinese lessons too, I find myself coming back to Rocket Chinese for reinforcement and to build new vocabulary.

As an educator I know that keeping learning fun and enjoyable is as important as the content.

PROS: I like the layout and the reinforcement. Some might say the course is repetitive, but I find that it actually takes that much repetition to actually stick.

CONS: The German narrators are a little too "peppy" which can get annoying, but that's ok. I would love to see the special characters (non-English) as easy buttons at the bottom of the text box, instead of having to open the keyboard every time. It really slows down the learning to do that.
