Rocket Languages is an awesome way to learn German or any language. It is light years ahead of the way I learned French at High School long ago.

In place of learning lists of words, you are given phrases to use so that you learn idioms rather than setting yourself up to use stilted expressions that don't accord with actual usage. You can still build your own vocabulary lists and export them to a file in your computer; and you can create your own notes to accompany these lists to gain understanding of how the words are used and case modified. I was offered .csv but would prefer .doc, but this is a minor matter.

The ability to download the initial conversational lessons is a great plus along with also being able to download .pdf files so that you can refresh yourself in these lessons again in a different context such as in your car.

Learning to say words, phrases and sentences from native speaking German tutors ensures that you learn to speak with a minimum of foreign accent, and the repetition with variations speeds the assimilation of the language. This experience is enhanced by your being able to record and re-record your rendition of a recording made for you by a tutor.

I love the combination of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Being able to interact with the same words and phrases many times, and in many different ways, helps increase my familiarity and my retention of the words. My confidence has skyrocketed, and I truly believe I will be able to communicate when I travel to China!

I purchased the rocket french a few years back but did not progress too well. Earlier this year I tried Rocket languages again but this time with Rocket Portuguese and I have been amazed at my progress. I love how the course is put together and especially the language and culture section. There are a few glitches here and there but overall I am finding it to be a great investment -definitely value for money.

Rocket Language makes it easy and fun to learn Japanese. The speakers are clear... they are not fast or slow and it is easy to navigate the system without getting frustrated. I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn the language and expand their knowledge in foreign net-workings.

I am very surprised by the method of Rocket language. Recently acquired the Rocket german course, and the lessons are interesting and interactive. Of course, for this kind of course you with need a lot of motivation and discipline, but the advantage is that they give you guidelines to design your learning strategy. I'm really happy with my progress in German. Tschüss!

This is the second time I have used an electronic based course for learning Italian. The first was about 15 years ago, and I did not proceed very far. The structure of this course is very clear and easy to follow, and surprisingly the points earning has exposed a hitherto unknown competitive nature which has assisted motivation to propel me forward. The only change I would make would be to have voice recognition rate your speech, rather than rate your own. The forum is useful, and customer service extremely prompt. 5 stars all around.

There are a lot of French course but Rocket French is one of the best.
Native tutor, recording my own speech, comparing, written and oral test - valuable features of the course. The assessment system helps man to progress.

I took up this Italian course after first travelling to Italy, which was undoubtedly one of the best experiences in my life, and I realized how much I liked everything there -specially the food-, including the language and its accents. Now I dream with being able to speak Italian and to live in Italy at some stage of my life

For the first time I feel that I am picking up Spanish at a faster rate. All the other programs, inundate you with flash cards and pictures of animals with translations, making you feel like a toddler. This program actually teaches you converational spanish. In just a month, I feel like I can carry a basic conversation with almost anyone in spanish. I am looking foward to more learning with Rocket Spanish!!!
