This is teaching me something I recommend this for new people

Rocket Languages is an awesome sauce website for languages.

I am new to Rocket Languages after using Duolingo for many years. I find Rocket to be much more useful and real. It is more difficult in some ways, especially the exercises when you have to listen to what is being said and then write what was said. But this is the way to learn, so I am glad I am being gently pushed in this way.

I really enjoyed the auditory portion of this course, although it can seem repetitive, it helped solidify the words and phrases in my mind. I now feel more confident in saying hello and thank you at a restaurant. I can't wait to see what else is in store if I learned this much in one lesson!

I find it very easy to use. I took French 5 years ago and this is a good refresher.

So far a pretty good app. It does seem to jump in difficulty very quickly a few lessons in so expect to replay some lessons over and over again. My main issue is that although it's an audio app, they still don't support CarPlay. This makes it difficult to listen to in the car unless you open the app and start it before you start driving. Otherwise you'll have to fumble with your phone while driving or pull over just to start the app. I think that in 2026 they should update to be compatible with CarPlay.

A very effective course for self-study, particularly for improving listening, writing, and speaking skills—especially useful for TCF or TEF exam preparation.
