I lived in India for four years and learned some speaking Hindi but none of the writing. Now I am finding it interesting and fun and mind-stretching to practice this written language. My teacher background is wondering how the learning for the written part of this program is set up but I am sure I will find out!
Response from Rocket Languages
It’s wonderful to hear that you’re enjoying the written side of Hindi, especially with your background and interest in language learning, Sandra! We hope you continue to find the program engaging and insightful as you explore the writing system. Thank you for sharing your experience!
I think this is a very good and effective course, the only thing I would say about ti is that it can get a little wearing after a while, shortening lessons could be an idea.......anyway, good course, just needs to be shortened a little

Thank you for your helpful feedback, Gigi! We’re glad you find the course effective overall. Your suggestion about lesson length is appreciated; we know everyone learns a bit differently, and we’re always looking at ways to make the experience more manageable and engaging. Keep up the great work!
Problems with audio capture are very annoying. Many times, I could hear myself on the playback of the recording, but there was an error saying that there was no audio. It's really hard to stay focused on the course why the speech recognition keeps upsetting me, and learning while upset is more difficult.
Response from Rocket Languages
We’re sorry to hear the voice recognition has been causing frustration, Leo. That’s certainly not the experience we want for our learners. If you're open to it, we’d be happy to troubleshoot this with you at [email protected]. Reach out at any time and we'll get your language learning back on track!
I've been using RocketLanguages for a few years now and prefer it over any other learning program for speech and conversation. Level 1 of RocketJapanese is superb, though the audio lessons of Levels 2 and 3 lack the same clarity and smoothness. The content of the lessons is great and I have no issue with the Japanese speakers, but the English-speaking hosts in Levels 2 and 3 have distractingly poor delivery: the pacing of their sentences is inconsistent, the editing cuts some words too early, and the speakers' intonation and emphasis is very odd, often quite unnatural. When repeating Japanese words immediately after the Japanese speakers do, the english-speaking hosts' pronunciation is so far off I sometimes wonder if the lessons were recorded without the speakers listening to each other. I still get the practice and review in Japanese that I want from the lessons, but not without difficulty listening to the hosts.
It's a great program, and I do recommend it to anyone who asks. The fact that Level 2 was updated is a good sign for the future; if the hosts of the audio lessons in Levels 2 and 3 can be re-recorded to match the rhythm and clarity of intonation that Level 1 has, it'll be top-notch.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback, Jack. We're happy to hear that Rocket Japanese has remained your preferred program for speech and conversation. We're glad the recent update to Level 2 aligned the course better with Level 1. Your insights about the Audio lessons are appreciated, and your suggestions have been shared with our team. Thank you again for recommending us and we can't wait to see where your Japanese language learning takes you!
The good about this program is it is very very targeted towards your listening and speaking. And you will notice your vocabulary and ease of vocal communication improving daily if you put the time in.
The bad news is you need an iron will to push yourself through it because it is SO BORING you'll seriously have a hard time staying awake.
If you can deal with listening, repeating out loud, listening, repeating out loud over and over and over and over again you will learn spanish from this course.
Only 1/2 of the lessons are audio lessons. the lessons that go more deeply into the grammar are all reading and self taught essentially which is VERY disappointing and certainly takes away from the overall value of the course.
So essentially, you teach yourself grammar, the course gives you vocabulary and go get yourself a prescription for methamphetamines so you can stay awake to get the lessons done.
I have tried literally every learning method under the son for learning spanish, I give this course overall 3/5. Effective material, but almost unbearably boring and not worth the full price.

Thank you for sharing your honest thoughts, Carter. We’re happy to hear that the listening and speaking components have supported your progress. We also appreciate your thoughts on lesson pacing and grammar content. While our approach may not suit every learning style, it’s designed to provide a well-rounded and comprehensive approach to learning Spanish grammar.
I find the microphone goes haywire after a few of my responses. It will give strange responses or fails to respond at all.

Thanks for sharing this with us, Lynda. We’re sorry the microphone has been inconsistent—that’s definitely not the experience we want for learners. If the issue persists, please reach out to support ([email protected]) so we can help get things running smoothly again. We appreciate you being part of the Rocket French community!
I am only using the free trial period (for now) and I am very impressed with the content, that as soon as I'm able to I am purchasing the full French course. Thank for for a superb website that offers more than you'd expect to get for free.
I am having trouble getting the accent right. This is impeding my progress. I need to re-watch, read and listen many times and still my accent is terrible. This is a lot more work than I expected, but I will plug onward.
rocket languages .... not bad but it help me find more informations about languages...and its awesome.... ^^
must improved you self..... Fighting :D
and also be proactive ... communications is important to tight our relationship between another people...
I wouldn't recommend this program. It don't live up to what it promises to provide. If you're a student in college or interested in taking something to test out of ASL 1 and 2, don't expect this to provide that ability. There are much better programs out there, some of which have more to offer for free.
