Great value for price! I like the browser but was really impressed with the app on IOS. Since I am on the go quite often, it is nice to learn Mandarin and check things off right on my phone. The more exposure to the language the better, and now I don't have to just sit at a computer all day and learn. Despite a few little bugs it has been more than I expected and I would recommend Rocket over Rosetta Stone anytime.

Every time I ask someone "do you speak French" I almost always get "un peu" followed by, that they studied in school but have forgotten everything they learned. I have found that you never forget, it is just that your knowledge is dormant. You will remember when you again use what you learned many years ago.
I first learned to speak French as a young boy living in Orleans. Over the decades I studied French whenever I had a language required in school. I continued to study over the years. Usually when we would be vacationing or visiting France.
I did find that due to non use I lost much of my French language skills. I think of all the different formats available to teach a language "Rocket French" has proven to be the most effective. Although early in the program I feel the "Rocket" is a learning program with which I will be most comfortable. I'll find out just how effective it will be next summer when I return to France. Overall, I've enjoyed the Rocket German product. It would be very helpful to have a set of audio control buttons (play/pause/rewind 3 sec) positioned directly beneath the Quick Settings on the left margin of the web page for the interactive lessons. When I listen to the interactive lessons on a computer, I constantly have to scroll from the line in the lesson back to the top of the page to pause/replay a word/phrase. Similarly, a rewind 3 sec button on the phone version is desperately needed. Lastly, I would like to see a video option for the Language & Culture Lessons. Reading through all of this is a little dry. I want to watch/hear an instructor saying these words/phrases. Thanks

So far (I am only on Lesson 1.3) the experience is good. The conversation is applicable to everyday life - and I am looking forward to using these phrases, as they stick in my head and on my tongue, next week on a business trip to Paris. I need to keep practicing saying the phrases, and comparing my pronunciation and word rhythm with the recordings.

I find the oral practice work very good and feel that I would also benefit from writing as well. [ like the instant comparison of pronunciation the most compelling feature of your product and the price the least appealing.

I took the free course in Rocket Russian and I must say that taking just the free lessons I have learned how to say some important Russian phrases and I am able to speak those phrases just like a native speaker. Just a few days ago I didn't know even the first word in Russian. However just after a few lessons I can say several words. Rocket Russian has some great tutors that break each word down so that when you speak you can speak as if you have been speaking the language all of your life. I have noticed that the way they break down each word they are also training your ear to not just be able to speak the language but also hear what is being said. I plan on purchasing the complete course because I believe that Rocket Russian has much more to offer which is well worth the money. I have spent lots of money taking language courses in college in other languages but I didn't learn this much, this quick. I think Rocket Russian is an awesome way to learn a new language. I wish I had discovered this course long ago.

I like how I still learn something new in each lesson even though I’ve been taking Japanese for several years. It is also great that there are VERY important culture lessons offered. You can’t learn Japanese well without these culture cues. Occasionally, I have some issues with the system not marking the kanji all the same as well as the few times there is no answer input so it counts you wrong even if you aren’t.

It would be nice to separate the Hangul from the romanized version in order to better understand the writing system; however, my experience so far is satisfactory. It would also be a lot better to have a built in Hangul keyboard for the writing portion, I had to use another website for this purpose. Even with these issues, I quite enjoy Rocket Languages and will continue to use it for my Korean studies.

Great, very structured course with a lot of great content suitable for all levels. Content is well explained and there is plenty of opportunity to practice speaking aloud. I wish that the review activities have more varieties. The writing practice, speaking practice and flashcard activities are quite repetitive.
