Every time I ask someone "do you speak French" I almost always get "un peu" followed by, that they studied in school but have forgotten everything they learned. I have found that you never forget, it is just that your knowledge is dormant. You will remember when you again use what you learned many years ago.
I first learned to speak French as a young boy living in Orleans. Over the decades I studied French whenever I had a language required in school. I continued to study over the years. Usually when we would be vacationing or visiting France.
I did find that due to non use I lost much of my French language skills. I think of all the different formats available to teach a language "Rocket French" has proven to be the most effective. Although early in the program I feel the "Rocket" is a learning program with which I will be most comfortable. I'll find out just how effective it will be next summer when I return to France. I am taking the Italian course and it's been great so far. The recorded dialogues are clear and engaging and increase difficulty at an appropriate rate. I am actually surprised at how motivating the point system is -- I find myself staying longer to complete course work and rack up points. The exercises can get repetitious, but that comes with the territory in a language course and is really jus what one should be doing. I have purchased three levels of instruction and am looking forward to completing all of the levels before I go live abroad for a year.

The best feature of Rocket French is that I can use the program any time of the day, which is handy because I work a full time job and cannot be flexible with my time. It has so far proven useful for helping me develop my speaking and comprehension skills. I would recommend this programme to a friend.

The way it explains the language is very nice for a beginning student. The conversations are nicely spelled out and the speaking of the people is easily understood. The conversations are also spoken slowly so it is easy to understand and it isn't overwhelming. My daughter enjoys the application and hopes it will help her in french class this year in school.

The only thing I don't like is the American guy from the role playing and videos. I find his lines a little distracting, with the bad jokes. That might just be a matter of personal taste as I'm enjoying the content of the course, it would just be nice to be able to choose from some different options!

I enjoy refreshing my spanish with Rocket Spanish, and find that I am gaining confidence and understanding by practicing daily with their tools. At times I do feel like lessons move very quickly and I end up reviewing the same lessons over and over again. I also wish the audio recordings gave me more time to add my response.I like the dashboard and the daily goals, they keep me motivated to keep practicing. I hope that overtime my spanish will improve!

I really like the fact that it gives you time to go back through the lessons that you need to review. I've tried Duolingo, and it just doesn't get me to a point where i feel like i'm learning anything more than "The cat and the boy." Thanks Rocket French! :D

I'm having problems with my microphone. It's frustrating.

This is a very powerful learning tool which allows you to pace your learning. Difficult parts can be repeated easily and it allows you to focus on phrases to practice during time when you are not using the software.

I was happy about the course. teaching was nice. I enjoyed the learning.
