Im still looking for the vocabulary lists ?
It doesnt help to teach someone how to say and memorize 'hello how are you' in Korean,
if they cannot find out which one is how, or you .......
Not happy with the lack of definitions......

I am exploring rocket chinese, I miss some examples of practice diffent conversation situations and also the quiz is static, when you repeat the quiz is very easy to answer. The rocket review is very good, but should be also dinamic. Anyway I try many chinese courses and this one is the one that I feel more confortable for the moment.

I really don't need to hear Amy's terrible American tourist accent, and I don't know why she shows up in the entire Level 1. I hope they replace her and re-do the audios again someday. Other than that, it's a great course.

Response from Rocket Languages

Hi there, thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear that you aren't enjoying the voice of Amy in the course. We will pass this feedback to the Spanish team. We use a variety of voices in our lessons to get you used to hearing many different Spanish accents. Once you start Rocket Spanish Level 2, Amy is completely replaced. We wish you all the best with your Spanish!

Great so far but, too soon to really give a review. learning a few words here and there but no repetition or context make it so it's only vocabulary lessons.

Response from Rocket Languages

We're glad to hear that you are enjoying the course so far. You can repeat the vocabulary in the lessons with the Reinforcement Activities which you can find at the bottom of each lesson. All the best for your Japanese!

I like the writing videos, but I find the spoken sentences too fast. I have also been using Linguaphone and Duolingo and Duolingo's option of having a slowed down speaking version is very helpful. Also I would have preferred a MSA version as I find the Egyption dialect difficult to adjust to.

I don't think I would recommend it over the alternatives.

Response from Rocket Languages

Thanks for your feedback, Roger. To slow down the audio, click on the settings cog in the top right corner and choose a slower speed. I hope that helps!

As an English language instructor, I find the Rocket Korean course is pretty good but not perfect on its own. However, given the price tag, it's worth the shot. I would prefer that instead of text that the software be more interactive. Through the use of visuals such as pictures and videos it allows students to learn more intuitively and recall prior knowledge on the spot. Text support, while necessary to a degree, can become a crutch that visual learners like myself can overly rely on causing less temporal tension and thus leading us to less overall retention. However, of course, this course is good for the price and I have been using it in coordination with a few other applications online. Therefore, I suggest using this in conjunction with other programs as well as considering language exchange to get much needed practice in real time.

It is WAY to expensive for what it is! Not worth it.

Response from Rocket Languages

Thanks so much for your feedback. We believe that our courses offer the best "bang for buck" because you will actually learn and be able to use the language, rather than just pick up a few phrases here and there, right from the start. Rocket French teaches you 1000s of practical words and phrases, as well as the grammar rules that help you put it all together. The course gives you lots of opportunity to practice what you have learned, and really build your French speaking confidence. Plus, the courses come with lifetime access to the lessons, and so they very quickly become far more cost effective than other methods of learning, such as group classes or private tuition. I hope that helps!

I've been delighted with the entire program so far. Particularly good were the i-pod downloads with Paul and Marie Claire. I'm learning French slowly, but I'm learning. I have Rosetta Stone and Pimsler.... they don't match up to Rocket Languages .

I'm happy that this was my first exposure to American Sign Language (ASL). I now have an excellent foundation. I believe the lessons could cover a bit more subject matter to increase effectiveness but I believe the syllabus was well formulated.

Too many keystrokes, should be simplified and incorporated into the keyboard, not the mouse.
Instructor voice and script too "hokey".
Prompts "P-F, S-I" should be much larger and should appear below the microphone icon. Also they should have been mentioned in the "how to use" video.

Response from Rocket Languages

Thanks for your feedback, John! There are already several hotkeys available—feel free to contact our support team ([email protected]) and we’ll be happy to walk you through them. We’ve also passed along your feedback regarding the notations (“S-I,” etc.) to the team for review.
