Using the free trial. At the moment it has me as a complete beginner so I'm not really seeing whether It will suit me when I need to learn things I don't already know. Sometimes the microphone doesn't seem to work when I'm speaking which is annoying. At the moment couldn't say whether it would be worth buying or not

We're glad to hear you're enjoying the course, Sheri! Beginning to learn a new language online can certainly feel overwhelming, so remember that you can always post your questions in our Rocket Italian forum!
Good, bite sized pieces! Easy enough so you don't get discouraged. But seems like real speech, which is exactly what I want and need!

No use of customer service just yet.
A few notes -- Distinguish between travel Spanish vs. a full language acquisition focus.
On the full language acquisition pathway:
Get to basic verb conjugation with genders earlier.
Establish the concept of the present tense.
Keep the pattern of building vocab with valuable phrases.
The product has dramatically improved since 2018 -- good work. When I ran the language learning product management for Rosetta Stone foundations, I looked at you. I like your progress.

Thank you for your feedback. It's great to hear your perspective on our Rocket Spanish course. We have divided our course into Audio lessons, where you'll focus on speaking and listening. These lessons cover topics that you might find more relevant to travel or will teach you the basics if you plan to spend a few weeks in a Spanish-speaking country. Language and Culture lessons, on the other hand, are designed to guide users through more in-depth grammar alongside what is covered in the Audio lessons. Many of the topics you've mentioned are explicitly addressed in the Language and Culture lessons in the latter half of Module 1. We want the course to be accessible to users who are learning a second language for the first time. Therefore, to begin with, we provide examples of the present tense in the Audio lessons without getting bogged down in grammar. This way, when we dive into a more detailed explanation, learners can make connections to what they have already seen. In other words, our approach is to ease learners into grammar rather than overwhelming them with jargon that might be inaccessible. I hope this helps explain some of the ethos of our course. If you have any further thoughts, we would be interested in hearing them; feel free to get in touch at support@rocketlanguages.com.
Great for those wanting to learn a new language and have dedication to do so!

Thanks so much, Joshua! It’s awesome to hear that you feel Rocket Spanish goes beyond the basics and is a fantastic choice for anyone serious about learning the language.
I like the writing videos, but I find the spoken sentences too fast. I have also been using Linguaphone and Duolingo and Duolingo's option of having a slowed down speaking version is very helpful. Also I would have preferred a MSA version as I find the Egyption dialect difficult to adjust to.
I don't think I would recommend it over the alternatives.

Thanks for your feedback, Roger. To slow down the audio, click on the settings cog in the top right corner and choose a slower speed. I hope that helps!
I have been improving a lot in french! Its a very good course and very fun to do!
Response from Rocket Languages
Thanks so much, Marcelo. That’s really awesome to hear!
I’ve been using Rocket French level 1 for several weeks now on an iPad. Though I think the format is very good in the way it introduces practical speaking without burdening with grammar, I am unhappy with the software itself. Trying to listen to a sentence that starts after skipping the 1st couple of words gets annoying, and the recording of my speech is too often very poor so that I have to repeat myself 3 times. This occurs on the app as well as on the website. I have contacted Rocket French, and though they are responsive, there has been no improvement, and there’s nothIng wrong with my iPad settings. I just think the software needs revision. I have started it and will continue, but I’m not sure I would recommend it.
