Rocket Russian Reviews

Russian is a difficult language to learn because it has the Cyrillic alphabet and it quite a distance removed from my native English. I find that I have to repeat each lesson multiple times before I am fluent in the pronunciation and can understand the phrases, so to vary the lessons I go back and review earlier modules as the second part of the lesson and work on the vocab side of things. It would help if the vocab were more organised as the countries and peoples survival guide is done.

I mainly use the phone app but have found that the online version has some extra features such as a) Favourites (which helps me list hard vocab or phrases that need extra work) and a hugely useful feature b) which is typing in Russian on a virtual Cyrillic keyboard. I have just discoveed this and will go back over lessons Intro, One and Two to learn how to write the phrases in Russian.

It might have helped if the introduction had mentioned these features a bit more as I find them very useful and a real aid to learning written Russian.

I didn't know Rocket Russian before and i'm very satisfied with the course. It's structure is excellent which makes it easier to learn. You can go back whenever you need and repeat some exercises just to crystallize your learning. Thank you

I've tried other courses this is the best one.

The course would improve significantly if vocabulary could be reviewed systematically across lessons and with spaced repetition.

When you speak letters into the microphone, instead of typing them out in Russian/English, they type out actual numbers, so i can legit never get them.

I've seen the light. This is definitely how Languages should have been taught.

Hard and demanding, which is good, and as it should be. I am learning lot.

I am learning russian. A very hard language. The courses are good, but i have just begun. I like that when I mispronounce a word, it shows me the spelling of the sounds i am making. That way, i can see how my pronunciation would be spelled,. especially since my pronunciation is terrible. I am learning slowly. I like the program, I do wish it did each of the of the alphabet sounds with me before going into words so that i could more easily memorize the alphabet. and that there were flashcards of just the alphabet.
