I have only been engaged in the course for a few days, but I am happy so far. I am a professor of English as a Second Language, so I have many years experience in language learning. I believe that this is a good course. I am enjoying it so far, and am fond of the exercises, especially the writing. What is particularly appealing to me is the apparent depth of the course.

The voice recognition is not quite as good as with other programs, but the program itself is complete and very satisfying.
I had one contact with customer service about an issue that was of my own making, and they helped very quickly.
The price is appropriate for what you get.

This is a well-structured course that emphasizes four skills. I am multilingual and have taught languages. I find this online course to be a "competent teacher."

I appreciate how there is a lifetime membership option for those who hate the headaches and stress related to subscription based language apps. I myself am committed to achieving fluent Mandarin, and needed an in-depth course that would cover all the bases. Rocket Chinese consistently exceeds my expectations in format, material, and professionality. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to get serious in their language learning, or even supplement what they are learning with a live teacher, (like myself). It's worth every penny!

It is a good site for survival if you are moving to China but it doesn't teach you the traditional Chinese and it doesn't really help with reading and writing because the pinyin always gets in the way and the audio lessons feel kinda long during the parts for the pronunciation and I am from Taiwan so the simplified Chinese won't kina help (no offense).

The voice recognition technology is very inconsistent. It kills the experience because the lesson is based on the use of voice to qualify your speech.

A very clever format that takes the learner through rote learning deep into Chinese before he/she realises it.
Very intense and rewarding.
I am very old and use nonsense words to make pictures which I can remember. eg speak = ciao, hello in Italian
Gaoxing = happy, Gaussing means magnetising a ship.
