It is cool. It is fun I learn so much from it this.
I love this. I am very good, already, and I practically just began! Rocket languages is one of the best you'll find. : D
I'm in the early process of learning, so far it has been a good experience. I plan to continue with Rocket Languages fora long time to come.
I like the variety of teaching methods. The character writing portion is great.
I'm stuck on 1.1 It can't recognise me saying the name "Dave" and "Lewis". And Xing for last name and Na for which. I swear I'm saying it long and low but it keeps thinking I'm saying the other na.
I'm still in the free trial and I'm not sure if this is just a bug I can skip or if i have to pass this.

Rocket Chinese is definitely good value for money because the course appears to continue until you finish it at your own pace. You can take a break and come back to it no matter the timescale and for this reason, it gets a 5/5. I thought the pricing was perhaps a little expensive but still worth it because many other Chinese apps lose out on subscriptions because after a year you don't get any more time and sometimes it can take a while to get into learning Chinese. One can be enthusiastic to begin with and then realise they are not quite ready to learn it within a year's limited period and money wasted. This happened to me with Rocket Chinese, when I subscribed, after half a year, I was not really ready and lost interest and was worried I might lose my money. Well now I'm ready to learn and very enthusiastic and it took me years before it started to make sense and I'm now ready to absorb the teaching. I would definitely recommend Rocket Chinese for the reasons I stated. Other Chinese apps like Chairman Bao etc are excellent but are just way too expensive for just a year's subscription and make it not worth purchasing no matter how good it is.
they have a microphone that you can speak
I started learning Chinese two months ago, I used at the time Apps Duolingo and Memrise. In both apps I made some kind of artificial progress, but in the fact, I could not understand the structure of sentences. There is a difference between them: Duolingo gives you some sense for the nature of the sentence building, but there is no grammar explication on it. Memrise makes you tired through repeating words and their meaning, in the same way as reading some huge vocabulary. Human being cannot learn in this way. Both apps work with multiple choice questions: so, you learn to be able to choose the best answer between several alternatives, but you don't' learn the words and sentences themselves.
The Rocket Chinese has in the fact a classic approach to the learning process: you read a little text, then you can see the translation and then you make some exercises with the words you met. It is a very nice feature to exclude all known words and to repeat the exercise again with the difficult words only.
