I have been working with this language course for only four weeks - my assessment is therefore very preliminary.
My impressions thus far: the course could be more interactive (more dialogs with voice recordings); I'm missing a periodic vocabulary refresher. A dynamically updated glossary of important phrases should be included. Dialogs with more than two speakers are desirable; for example, short street interviews with real people would make the course fun.

I'm steadily increasing my knowledge of French. I like being able to just jump into where I left off and do 10 to 20 minutes of study whenever I feel like it.
After much deliberation and internet searches reading reviews of French courses I took the plunge and purchased Rocket French. I preferred once-off purchase with lifetime access to updates versus monthly subscription based courses for a start.
My available time for daily study /practise is limited so being able to download the audio lessons to practise during my daily commute is great as well as the ability to go at my own pace. Coming from a zero French knowledge base the structure of the course encourages me to continue with the next lesson as at the end of each lesson I am able understand the lesson conversation (which sounded like gibberish at the beginning of the lesson to me!)
Nothing "awesome" to say. I thought you wanted my honest, candid feedback. Still waiting for help on the problem of inserting special characters in the writing practice section of lessons. Rocket told me I must wait two to four days.
I get the impression Rocket also doesn't teach grammar either—at least not overtly. Disappointing.

Hi Bruce - The special character issue on Rocket French "Write it!" exercises has been resolved by adding in special keys for the French characters. Grammar is taught extensively in the Language and Culture lessons, did you see those? And, finally, if you decide that it's not for you then we have a 60 day full money back guarantee. The pronunciation is an excellent review, and the lessons are about the right length.
