Rocket Languages review criteria
Well, the course is OK, working with the microphone helps. I am very happy with it.
I am not happy and I have to say I am disappointed with the customer service.
I have asked 3 times for the invoice for paid amount, nothing happened, no response. I am getting daily mails from Marie-Claire with silly comments and questions (automatic mail, I am sure) but the invoice, for the money I have paid still not come.
I need it urgently for my accountant.
I do not know what else I should do!

Most customer support staff have been on holiday over the Christmas and New Year period so some emails have taken longer to get to at this time!
The program is so full of bugs. I have attempted on both my Mac and iPhone.

On ipad voice playback won't work. No reply from customer service. Back to the Fluenz program.

I have been studying French for the past 2 years. I always had difficulty with speaking the language. Rocket French has helped very much with my confidence in speaking the language. Rocket French has proven to be a fun way to improve my French language skills
Look, I understand that the French speak fast, but, you can't slow it down for people who are new to the language and are trying to learn? Let us understand the correct pronunciation and then we can increase the speed. I had to go to another source to grasp the correct pronunciation. Because of this, I strongly discourage anyone new to the French language from wasting their time on Rocket Languages.

Hi there - The pronunciation in all of our Level 1 courses IS slower than native speakers. It can take some time to adjust to the rhythm of a new language so don't be disheartened if it is difficult to understand at first. Listening to a radio/podcast in the language is a good idea to speed up this process.
what is this language learning program. it is terrible. im saying the right things but it thinks im wrong.

Hi Ivan - It's likely that your microphone hasn't been set up correctly, as we have had no other reported issues of the voice recognition not working. I would recommend checking out our FAQs and/or contacting customer support with details of your system.
I absolutely love Rocket French. I was choosing between Pimsleur or Rocket French, but Rocket French in my opinion offers a lot more resources to have a well-rounded learning experience. I love in particular the “play it” exercises as it really makes me get into speaking in real situations.
The voice recognition is terrible and only works intermittently before giving me the "Looks like speech recognition is currently busy. Please try again" message. Customer "service" tells me to do what I'm already doing (use Chrome browser, fast internet etc.). They acknowledge that their voice recognition doesn't always work and advise me to "skip" those parts. Skipping isn't a solution to the problem! I used Rocket before for German and it was very good. Now I just want to skip this program completely and get a refund.

If the voice recognition detects phrases poorly, we suggest skipping over them because this will ensure that the language learning process is not disrupted. I have had a technical problem with Rocket French for over a month now. I cannot play the audio files of ALL interactive lessons, and that is on several different devices. The support team has not been able to fix it for me, and their response rate is too slow. I'm regretting having bought the product, because it is useless for me if I'm unable to use it. And it means that i threw my money on the drain. I now asked them to reimburse me for my money if they cannot fix their technical issues, and they haven't replied to me yet. As usual their response takes at least THREE days. I'm getting extremely mad, to be quite honest!
2019 Update: We have managed to change how our server works to allow access and full functionality from within Egypt!

Hi Manal - This is an issue with Egypts internet connection being throttled by the powers that be. We have had similar issues with China in the past. Of course, if we can't get it working for you you will get a full refund.
