It still requires a lot of study to learn French (not surprisingly). However, after 6 months of using this course, my fluency in French is much better than it was after 6 years of study at school, many decades ago.

It is interactive how the lessons go. Unfortunately, it is at least to say "expensive".

Je suis une étudiante sérieuse et je uis toujours à la recherche d'un partenaire linguistique. J'ai 57 ans. J'ai fait un séjour de 2 mois en France en 2011 dans la ville de Dijon où j'ai suivi des cours de francais à l'université de Bourgogne.

To date I have purchased two modules for Rocket French and Rocket Italian. I found RF while it was in it's infancy because at the time of purchase only Premium Level One was available. A few months later I received an email about Rocket French Level Two and I jumped to add it. Then a short time later I received the announcement about Rocket Italian. To date I have only used the RF. I use it in conjunction with two other pieces of software. One of them is Duolingo. However, what I like about RF is that it is more thorough. I like the two speakers/hosts of the program as well. Paul with his English charm and Marie Claire with her lovely, French personality. The two make each lesson fun and entertaining. So far I have made good progress with RF but I have one gripe. The voice recognition needs more work. I use a headset that works well with other voice recognition programs but RF doesn't always recognize the sentence as I repeat it. And this is frustrating when you play or hear Paul or Marie-Claire pronounce the sentence as you just recorded. This is the one major issue I have. Well this and the fact that I get nagging messages if I try to use a browser other than Google Chrome or Chromium. Overall, I do like the program and have made more progress with my French when I come here than anywhere else. Thanks for a quality product.

On the plus side:
• I like the way grammatical rules are discussed in understandable, laymans’ terms
• It’s easy to learn/revise words and phrases
• It’s easy to develop your listening skills to understand what people are saying and its easy to develop skills in identifying what to say

But there is room for improvement:
• Speech recognition needs improvement
o Gives some poor pronunciation 100%, but doesn’t recognise closer attempts
o When sentences are long it often cuts you off
o Often (every session) crashes for no reason and you have to log in again
• Its easy to put all your effort into reading and writing – rather than developing listening and speaking skills

I have been using the trial version for less than 2 weeks, and have already Astounded people with my little French. For example today I ran into a French mother and daughter. With the little French spoke they thought I was french! They couldn't believe my accent and were impressed. The interactive dialogue is great and the words were pronounced so clear for me. The design of this software and learning structure is fantastic! It allows me to repeat and answer questions to the pint that it sounds native! I started a French course in parallel and its triple the cost and doesn't compare. The Cd I got with the book is just crappy compared! I have studied a different language before - before the Internet and I wish someone could of given me all the tips I am reading that rocket French provides for free!. Rocket French has compiled a lot of information, advice and recommendations which is probably taken for granted. It's truly a wonderful experience learning online with a support forum for the language and IT. This online trial kit exceeds my expectations! Well done to you all Who Made this product a reality!

Fun to use. I love how they use basic conversation and repeat until it becomes more fluent. The lessons and information are engaging. I had a little difficulty navigating the app and website login. It was a little confusing at first because they each present the information differently. Customer service, Marie has been wonderful helping.

There's a myriad of good resources for language learning, and the audio helps a lot with pronunciation. Rocket Languages has great tools for language learning, without a doubt. The cultural immersion components are a fun way to learn about culture as well, because that is vital to learning a language as well.

I am learning French. The program is good but far from perfect. There are problems with voice recognition. Level 1, Chapter 5 has a summary test that tests words that have never been introduced. Who proofs this stuff? One new word, 'manquer', translation "miss". What kind of miss? The "stories" are usually 25 minutes long and of little value. Customer support? Virtually nonexistent. During weekday normal hours there is a help desk, when you complain about something she will refer to IT department. IT department has a perfect record of never getting back to me so I quit writing notes to improve the course. The French course is good but could be much better if Rocket had interest in improving.

I am blown with the level of french I am learning.
