Thank you rocket French! My husband Charles bought me my rocket French course and it has been a great learning experience. We travelled through New Brunswick, Quebec City and Montreal. I was proud to be able to read signs, directions, and engage in simple conversations.

Besides my native Czech I speak and write English and Russian fluently, both of which I learned the traditional way. Now I am at the end of Level 1 of Rocket French. The Rocket approach is very effective, I am learning about 4 times faster than with the traditional school method.
It is still work, it does require discipline but there are little pleasures about it as well. The lesson speakers Claire and Paul are very charming, in particular, Claire's speech is just lovely.
The customer support is fast and effective even so that it is limited to the application programming issues. They will not respond to anything related to the language itself or any issue beyond that what is outside the screen.
The Rocket method "weaves" the language, it gives a hint of word meanings, then hint of grammar then both the meanings and the grammar reappear later with a slight twist building up the full grasp. Similarly so with the common phrases.
Another strength is the voice recognition, it works very well (nearly). The computer has no mercy, so when you say it right, you know your pronunciation is right, no less. But the program does have limitations, if I try to work on a lesson around 8pm there is not enough bandwith for the voice recognition. All of sudden 30% of sentences are rejected, not recognized etc. while off hours I get rarely anything wrong.

After much deliberation and internet searches reading reviews of French courses I took the plunge and purchased Rocket French. I preferred once-off purchase with lifetime access to updates versus monthly subscription based courses for a start.

My available time for daily study /practise is limited so being able to download the audio lessons to practise during my daily commute is great as well as the ability to go at my own pace. Coming from a zero French knowledge base the structure of the course encourages me to continue with the next lesson as at the end of each lesson I am able understand the lesson conversation (which sounded like gibberish at the beginning of the lesson to me!)

Great and user friendly learning program!I decide to try Rocket French because I wante to learn some french before a trip to France. at first i want to go to french class but it was alittle difficult for me and i dont know good class in my city. this method prepare situation that learn french with native accent. I suggest to everyone try this interesting method of learning that supplies different popoular languages in the world .
I really liked the full audio transcripts for the lessons that I could listen to anywhere , then work on the remaining lesson pieces when I had time.
It's great that the lessons are based on useful situations.

I like this program a lot. I have it for two languages. It is good for learning grammar, both in sentence structure and formality levels.

The only thing i would like more is if you were taught more vocabulary right from the beginning because learning everything as part of a sentence can make it hard to separate words for me.

But i like that they have sections and tips and explanations to help you learn to speak the languages like a native. It let's you know why you say something a certain way and explains what each thing means literally while telling you why a native uses a particular phrase instead of how Google translate would put it literally.

Just started but after having tried out several others, love the way this program works. Hopefully I will continue to move smoothly from lesson to lesson. This is a great way to review a language you have previously learned and want to come back to.

Im extremely satisfied with Rocket Language French Course. I truly believe that you are the best French online Course. Having bought many Courses years ago, I regret to try to use them so late, due to many problems of time. I suposse that one proof of my honest judgment is that I am 77 years old, so I don´t like to state what I don´t feel as true. Your bilingual teaching is one of the most important things that you could have chosen. Very nice! Also, the high technical resources you have here, plus the easy way to connect with your website without the horrible experiences in other websites...!, the beautiful presentation of your Courses, attracting and pleasant customers to follow the lessons, and the thourouglhly care you have put in every lesson , helping students to really improve their french knowledge , these are powerful reasons for me to have no doubts at the time of a language website option. I indeed pray to have a long life time to enjoy and take advantage of your French Course, and maybe other ones if I should have time to deal with them. . I have owned Rocket French for several years, but have not had the time to devote to it. I find that it quite comprehensive, so far, for conversational French. I also to Duolingo and really like it to set me straight on French grammar. One gets a lot of practice there, especially if one makes many mistakes, as I do. Also one can review to one's hears's continent. I don't know if one can actually learn conversational French with Duolingo, but it does give one the basics to experiment with French speakers or others learning the language.
However, I think that (I haven't actually tried it) one will learn conversational French more quickly with Rocket French. I cannot vouch for any other method.
I have had two semesters of French at a university. I also value that experience very highly.

Rocket is absolutely brilliant. The way to learn a language is to see it, speak it, and write it. It is obvious a lot of thought has gone into the way the system is set up, from starting off with commonly used sentences, to gradually working in spelling, pronunciation, grammar, language, and cultural lessons. There are so many great features, like being able to record and play back conversations, using flashcards, spelling reviews, etc. I'm a new user, but I've used other off-line and on-line language courses for Spanish, and Rocket French is far superior. Sometimes the cheapest way to do something is to pay for it, and that is true in this case. It is money well worth spending.
