Although I have followed some other Italian language courses, I like this course particularly because of the recording facility, which allows you to hear what you sound like in Italian, as well as the excellent explanations of the grammar points. I also like the numerous tests and the role play sections which mirror as near as possible what it is like to take part in a conversation in Italian. I am not sure I have mastered how all the tests work, but I am sure this will become clearer once I have gone further in the course.

I have used Rosetta Stone and while it's great for learning vocabulary, it is not nearly as helpful with grammar and conversation. Rocket Italian is an excellent vehicle to learn common phrases for travel and conservation, as well as important vocabulary and grammar. I am very glad I purchased it.

I have tried many different language programs. They were too boring or expensive. Of the many attempted, only the Rocket program has keep me interested and motivated to make my conversational skills fluent. I plan to take many more courses with this system and would recommend to anyone who wants to learn one of their languages easily and completely. Considering the lifetime access for necessary periodic review, the package cannot be beat by any other language program.

I've just finished the first 4 lessons, and I am so enjoying this language program! Maria and Alex make the learning fun, yes; but the repetition is so helpful, and that they break it up with little facts about Italian customs mixed with a bit of grammar. The way they alternate between normal cadence of speech mixed with slow is great, too. And the reviews of the prior lesson at the beginning of the following one -

One month into Rocket Italian Level I, the program is providing me with a solid start in learning a new language. The instruction motivates learning and can be fun. The materials are well designed and appear to take into consideration the different types of learning styles we have as students of language. So far so good.

This course is very good for me! Since 2009 i already knew about this rocket app, and i did have a good chance to learn Italian when study master course in architecture in Milano from 2010 to 2012 . But that time my English was not quite ok then i just concentrate to English but not Italian, that's the biggest mistake i had when i was in Italy. 10 years later, now i start again with Italian and try to push myself to study 1 language in every 2 years! Hope i can speak 5 languages when i am 50 (now i am 40). Really love ROCKET, personally i feel if you learn a language everyday about 1 or 1.5 hours with strong intention to the target language, you will be able to speak a language within a year with Rocket APP. Hope Rocket can produce more languages for US - the Learners!

I have been using RI for about 4 months after trying Rosetta stone (very boring) and Pimsleur (good but not quite what I wanted). I found that using RI I have a better comprehension especially when you use the extra lessons where you write and take some tests. Seeing, hearing and writing have made a big difference.

I started this program as a teacher of Spanish, and having worked in a restaurant with native speakers of Italian, giving me a major leg-up. The program is good at addressing listening, speaking, and reading... I'll have to see how writing develops long-term, but they do have you spell the words. The semantically unrelated vocabulary (you learn words that are not all part of a "list" with each lesson) helps with retention. For what you pay, there is a TON of content. I'm curious to see the user forums in the future.

I'm also curious to try one of their non-Romance language offerings, to see how the acquisition is. Part I of Italian was overall enjoyable and easy to fit into a very busy schedule.

I've tried two other popular language learning problems.....but always was so disappointed...I'm extremely ADD and they just didn't work with me....however, Rocket rules....I'm so happy with this program and I am actually remembering what I learned....for a person who always struggled with learning, this has been wonderful.

I've taken other media for Italian language classes, including person to person lessons, but none compare to the effectiveness of the Rocket system. Some students learn by seeing, others by hearing and others by doing and feeling (experiencing). Rocket covers all three by showing you examples, having you hear them slowly, then having you write it; finally by "feeling" the culture and the grammar you get a rounded education as language is not just repetition but immersing in the culture. Also, their pace is just right: not too much at a time to overwhelm you - so they are "excellent teachers" and they make sure that different students, with different modes of communication and perception, will definitely assimilate the material. I was a teacher myself so am very critical of teachers in how they can "reach" and "get through to" students by covering different angles: Rocket has definitely figured out a great well-rounded teaching system... I am very happy with it and am learning at a rate that will ensure fluency before I know it. Thank you so much.
