I'm not going to sugarcoat this, so don't look for it in any Rocket promotional material. :-)

Had a little bit of an issue when trying to buy this product. Wasn't Rocket's fault and they were very helpful in getting it resolved.

I am currently at lesson 2.4.

This is a good product for learning and practicing speech in Japanese. The exercises are very geared towards that, along with some writing.While it has been great for speech, I use a different product for grammar.

The interface is simple to figure out and use, so you don't have to waste a lot of time trying to figure out how to do courses. Japanese is hard enough as it is without trying to master a weird interface too.

This is really meant to help the student SPEAK the language, not necessarily stressing grammar too much, though it might in later lessons.

I've used a lot of tools for learning Japanese, but Rocket is the best at making you speak the language instead of just listening to lessons. That's why I purchased the whole product.

As for issues with the software, I had a few minor ones. At first, I would either have audio, or I could record my voice, but not both. To resolve this, I had to completely reinstall my browser.

This is the best inspiration apps to learn all Japanese cultural and language by myself. Many thanks to Sayaka-san and Rocket JP team for the most useful tools on this web. I was premium member of this packages, that I can come back to practices and improve my language skill anytime I want. So, that's great to me every time I launch to Rocket Languages .

I was previously on a Rosetta Stone subscription but found the way that the lessons were structured did not line up with real life scenarios. Straight from the beginning, Rocket Languages teaches you introductions and essential phrases.

I plan to live in Japan for a year and find that Rocket Languages gives me the confidence to keep going.

I currently live in Japan and have found this program extremely helpful. It has allowed me to communicate with the locals and for us to actually understand each other. I was actually told by some that I speak amazing Japanese.

Pretty happy with this programme, and I've already recommended it to a few other people who were interested in learning some of the available languages. Having tried other programmes, including "the biggie" in the computer language-learning market, I must say that I like this better.
If I had more available time, I would really like to work on another language, but... !

Probably the best language tool I've come across. Actually love it more than Rosetta Stone and Duolingo. I will definitely be paying for the full product.

The 6 day free preview is a blast to field languages to see if they will work for you. I strongly recommend everyone consider the ASL which is not what I typically expect to find in language courses. Full immersion with video only. Great for hearing and hard of hearing who are lip readers.

Tempted to overload with multiple languages (looked at Japanese. After one look I have a far better understanding of written Korean)

I just started Rocket Japanese, and it's greater than everything else I've tried so far! Nothing has had as many options to learn as RJ did. I love how interactive it is, and that we can access the forum if we have a question. :)

This is a great product. I didn't use it for months and months and didn't expire, I just went in where I left off. It has a really good self testing facility. All the important phrases are covered right from the beginning. Writing is also covered right from the beginning which I believe is really important and not available in lots of other learning packages. I have learnt heaps in no time flat and despite being rather lazy.

Like many other members Rocket Languages is helping me achieve my dream of being a fluent speaker of a new language. I've always had a fascination with Japan, its culture and its language and it is a truly fulfilling experience to see how quickly I can advance - I can read, write and say so much!

I have been using Rocket Japanese for two years and found the site to be easy and exciting to use. It's so important to me to be able to hear a native speaker of the language because if I'm going to speak in it, I'm going to sound right; no half measures with me!

What I truly enjoy and appreciate is the culture lessons. Japan is so intact with its history and traditions it is truly fascinating - and very, very different to Europe. It is important to be able to feel like you have got to know the country a little bit and not feel like you are at risk of inadvertently causing offence. This is especially if you are aspiring to live (or even visit) there one day, as is the case with myself.

The lessons provide quite complex sentence structures straight away which I couldn't truly appreciate until I had had some classroom lessons which built a solid foundation for grammar and syntax.

it is an awesome software ... the tour is so nice because i can memorize it straight away... the sound is so nice , and i like japanese more better. it also gives a good tips especially in forum. i really appreciate this software. and i also never seen this kind of software. in this way, i could also learn aboout japanese culture. thank you very much ..arigatouu!!
