This is the second Rocket Language course I've taken. I also did Rocket Language French. The Spanish course teaches me at just the level that I need to begin reading and speaking, without feeling like I'm wasting too much time repeating the same basic material. It moves along at whatever rate I choose, and is as challenging as I want to make it.

Rocket Languages has EVERYTHING I've always wanted in a language study program. I've tried an online Spanish course and various apps, but always there was something missing. I felt I was up to Level 2 after my other experiences, but I had hit a wall I couldn't get beyond. Rocket Languages Spanish 2 is perfect for me. It encourages me to engage in dialogue, explains and reinforces, provides motivational perks, and allows me plenty of practice speaking like a native as well as understanding spoken Spanish and writing it (love the availability of special symbols!). The voice recognition is really good. I haven't even finished the first lesson and already I'm more confident, speaking to myself in Spanish around the house, even dreaming Spanish phrases! And it's FUN!! Mauricio and team are so kind. It's like having friends who really want to help me learn the language. Thank you, Rocket Languages! After Spanish 2, I hope to "Rocket" on with Spanish 3 and beef up my high school French. Then, who knows?

My native language is Russian. I studied English at the institute, Finnish in various courses and on my own. I have used and still use both languages ​​at work. Spanish has been a dream of mine for many years after my vacation in Mexico. I started taking a fully paid Spanish course, but after the first lesson I stopped attending, as it turned out to be completely unsuitable for me. After that, I studied on my own and for 3 months on a paid course on the Internet. Now I have started taking this course and I am very pleased with the teaching methodology. How much time and effort I would have saved if I had studied English and Finnish using a method like Rocket Spanish !!! I hope that with the help of Rocket Spanish I will make my dream come true. I would like first of all to comment on Bill Landman's review of two days ago. I am not yet up to Level 9 (only at Level 5), but I have had no trouble with pronunciation being recognized thus far, so I jumped ahead to Lesson 9.11 to see if Mr. Landman's remarks would be confirmed. As it turned out, however, I had no trouble at all achieving a 100% rating in pronunciation on everything, with Record Difficulty set to "Hard." Thus, whatever problem Mr. Landman experienced does not seem to be with Rocket Spanish itself. Perhaps his microphone was not clear, or its output level was too low (or something) that day.

I have been very satisfied with Rocket Spanish. Although I'm only on Level 5, I have been using Rocket Spanish for several months (not with great regularity, obviously, or I'd be farther along). I had previously gone through at least 3 different CD courses, one of which I thought was excellent. However, CD courses are not interactive, of course. Nor did even the best one go to as high a level as Rocket Spanish.

Rocket Spanish is the best language learning system that I have used. I went through 2 years of Spanish in high school and 3 semesters in college. And I have learned more in Rocket Spanish I than all those others combined. Not only can I retain the information but I am more comfortable speaking Spanish because I can hear the proper pronunciations through the audio lessons.
The price of this system is amazing... less than $100 is a bargain for unlimited use of Rocket Spanish. Much better than the competitors at less than half the cost. I wish this system was available 20 years ago.
I am very happy I purchased this course and plan on purchasing upper levels in the near future. A+++++++++++

After only six Spanish lessons I happened to drive past a beer garden in a small town in Texas. There was a sign in the front that had a hand drawn humorous quip written in Spanish. I knew what it said! There was no stopping and mentally translating. I just read it and understood!

Thirty years ago, I used Pimsleur tapes purchased by my employer and local university continuing education classes that they paid for. I did obtain sufficient fluency at the time which worked well traveling to Mexico. But, "use it or lose it" caught up to me. I want to regain where I was and go further. With Spanish podcasts, other Internet options and Spanish cable channels, "using it so as not to lose it" is more available. And, I now have some "locals" who I know that have Spanish as their first language or, are like me, and "don't want to lose it" again. We meet every week to have coffee or tea and to chat with each other. It is a great way to meet new people and to bring people together! Finally, en español, "Deseo hacer un viaje a Ecuador y las islas de Galapagos, y tambien, un viaje a Costa Rica con "Habitat for Humanity". Me gustaria hablar en su lengua."
