The lessons are far too long. I like to finish a lesson in one sitting but they are so long, it's impossible. I groan when I see the flashcards with 70 entries. There is no sense of accomplishment. I tend to avoid starting lessons because it seems like drudgery trying to get through them and that isn't a good way to learn. So yes , I am disappointed in my purchase. I had high hopes . I had previously done the 'Spanish with Paul' lessons. They had they're shortcomings too but I felt the lessons were a better length and I stuck with them and learned a lot more.
Response from Rocket Languages
Hi Rick, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that you are finding the lessons too long. Here at Rocket Languages we want to ensure that all our linguistic content is comprehensive and in-depth, but we are also aware that motivation and a sense of accomplishment is critical to learning. As such, your suggestion regarding the flashcards has been passed on to our Product Development team. In the meantime, you might have a better experience with our more interactive reinforcement activities like "Hear It! Say It!" All the best with your Spanish language learning!
since i'm being asked to write a review every 2 seconds, which is interrupting my course i'll go ahead and do it now. there is way too much emphasis on speaking for such absolutely abhorent speech recognition. i already know a lot of beginner spanish as i'm living in colombia with my colombian girlfriend. even she couldn't get the voice recognition to register a word half the time.
also, there are just too many flashcards, spelling words, voice recognition parts after each story lesson. i just listened to a 20 minute audio file about how to say hello. then you continue on with flashcards and pronunciation that has absolutely nothing to do with the audio
Response from Rocket Languages
Thank you for the feedback, Lloyd! Our voice recognition is trained on native Spanish speakers, so this should not happen. But don't worry! One of our friendly customer support team has contacted you and will set you up on a call with our IT team to resolve the voice recognition issue. We appreciate your comments concerning the flashcards; we know they can be overwhelming and are currently working on a solution to retain the comprehensiveness but make them easier to digest.

I couldn't get past a few units on level 1 before I had to call it quits; Amy's Spanglish accent made it very difficult to stay focused and impeded comprehension. I don't know if using her, with a non-native accent, was a deliberate choice, but it didn't sit well with me, personally.
The program itself appears fairly comprehensive (covering all core skills in genuine contexts), but I was not a fan of the audio lessons and the narration.
Response from Rocket Languages
Thank you for sharing your experience, Andrea. We're sorry to hear that the narration style in the audio lessons wasn't a good fit for you. We aim to create realistic and relatable dialogues, but we understand that preferences can vary, especially when it comes to accents. We do appreciate your recognition of the program’s comprehensive approach. If you're open to giving it another try, we'd be happy to help you find learning paths or features that may better suit your style. Feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] if you'd like assistance.
It's fine but the videos are super boring I almost fell asleep

I love rocket language because i learn a whole lot i am 11 years old and i went to this web site because I've been wanting to learn Spanish and know i now Spanish, so gracious/ thank you for helping me learn Spanish so adios/goodbye p.s i was commended to go to this web site by this girl named Sharon foster from YouTube.
I first bought Rocket Spanish many years ago after a trip to Costa Rica and Guatemala. I had taken Spanish at my local college, but after the trip it was quite obvious that I needed lots of practice, and Rocket Spanish provided the means in a fun and entertaining way! Understanding the other person is the most difficult part for me, and the way RS is presented, with the conversations and explanations, is by far the best I have seen in any program.
As my Spanish level (and travels) advanced, I continued to use RS for review, and gladly bought the Advanced Level 2. I hope someday I'll be ready for Level 3!
Rocket Spanish was extremely well thought through in its development and gives plenty of practice in all areas of language learning. The explanations are clear, the speaking is easy to understand (oh, if only everyone would speak that clearly!!), and the cultural information is informative.
Oaxaca is my home for 5-6 months of every year, and I continue to use RS for learning and reviewing.
Thanks for such a great program, and yes, I have recommended it to friends and family.
