I just started the advanced course and I find the conversation very difficult to follow. It is hard to
Understand because the speech is fast and slurred not clearly spoken. Especially when new words and phrases are used..
The first two courses don't prepare you well enough with verb conjugation either.

I have tried rosetta stone live mocha and berlitz. It is simple easy cost effective method of learning spanish. i have tried other software. This is great learning tool. i have tried arabic language course before. that was also good. I can learn on my pace flex schedule.
I really don't need to hear Amy's terrible American tourist accent, and I don't know why she shows up in the entire Level 1. I hope they replace her and re-do the audios again someday. Other than that, it's a great course.
Response from Rocket Languages
Hi there, thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear that you aren't enjoying the voice of Amy in the course. We will pass this feedback to the Spanish team. We use a variety of voices in our lessons to get you used to hearing many different Spanish accents. Once you start Rocket Spanish Level 2, Amy is completely replaced. We wish you all the best with your Spanish!
The only reservation I have is the fact that basic, essential grammar is not part of the first lessons. For instance, basic conjugations of "to be" or "to have" are not detailed and explained, but simply mentioned during lessons.
This is a problem since the grammar of the Spanish language is different than of the English language.
With this exception, I am content with the quality of the course.
What customer service? I'm only in the first lesson though, so we'll see. I'm an intermediate spanish learner from university classes and took the placement test, but I wish there was a way that would tell me what I need to study or what level to be at so I don't have to pick one at random. It seems kind of expensive compared to other options, I really liked pimsleur a lot too, and rocket spanish doesn't seem as streamlined. It does give practice on speaking though that other sites didn't. I've tried paid Duolingo (level 72), and paid pimsleur (finished Module 2), I even tried paid spanish dictionary.com (which was better than expected), and this is the only one that you don't have a monthly fee for. It also has A TON of content, but lacks some of the gamification of duolingo so it's a little more dry. The learning seems less intuitive and listening based than pimsleur though. I'll update the review if I make it through very much more of rocket spanish, but this was the fourth time it asked for a review so here it is.

Rocket Languages is bettter than what i had before. The length of the lessons is very long for my taste though... ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ;; ; ; ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
I think that the content is really good and I have enjoyed the level 1 course that I purchased. However, the advertising seems misleading. They promise that you will reach a good conversational level after level 1. However, they do not teach you past tense or future tense. For example, it's pretty hard to have any conversation without learning how to ask "How was your weekend?" or "What did you do yesterday?" Also, after paying, $99 for Level 1, you have to pay an additional $149 for level 2, in which you do start getting into past and future tense (at least you do in the free teaser lesson). If they described the contents of each level better and had a pricing structure that made more sense, I could probably give it a five.
Response from Rocket Languages
Thanks so much for your review and feedback. Rocket Spanish is a comprehensive course, with a lot of content to cover in order to effectively teach spoken and written Spanish. While we do cover one means of talking about the future in Level 1 (the equivalent of "going to”), more lessons on the future and the past tenses can be found in Level 2, as this fits in with the CEFR level descriptions, since you're only expected to be able to talk about past events and future plans at B1 level. Rocket Spanish Level 1 is equivalent to CEFR levels A1/A2 Rocket Spanish Level 2 is equivalent to CEFR levels A2/B1 Rocket Spanish Level 3 is equivalent to CEFR levels B1/B2 We will email you with a copy of this information, and encourage you to send any questions you might have to our customer support team on [email protected]. All the best with your language learning!
It is difficult to begin--there is no easy way to start learning right off the bat, one has to search for the book/lessons. Learning would be easier if you could click a button to take you to a lesson (the most recent), with links to all of the information you need to continue on. This way you can just click start and get back to learning.
Although I am making progress learning Spanish, the app has several bugs that have certainly affected my pace of learning. Missing translations/text are not uncommon. Sometimes it takes deleting and reinstalling the app to get it working. On some lessons it simply will not work no matter what action you take. Customer support has not been able to resolve the matter and I have decided that you get what you pay for. With the regular discounts offered as well as the supposed one-time price cut to entice you to buy all 3 level at the onset, I found the course fairly inexpensive. If the bugs ever get worked out, I would then consider this one of the best language courses available.
