There is no functionality to allow you to quickly click on a word that you don't know to figure out what it means. Instead you have to wait through the painstakingly slow audio to hear someone tell you what it means. Very frustrating, especially if you're like me and learn better through seeing.

It's awesome I like this course I'm excited I can really speak Chinese

This course does a good job of giving a structured set of lessons as well as lots of nice extra material. It gives good basics on pronunciation, writing, as well as some grammar and cultural information. Very useful for getting a good foundation which you can use to start studying more on your own. I will consider getting the second part of the course, but at this point I feel I can begin to branch out on my own as well with the tools I have.

So the program is pretty decent. Using Rocket will definitely increase proficiency. The most frustrating part of the platform by far is the new voice recording system -it's extremely slow and very un-responsive. It slows down the whole learning process. Customer service is cumbersome process but based on the cost of the program, it's not fair to expect that much.

Hi , i am so happy that i had made the decision to purchase this Rocket Chinese course (premium to platinum) .I had tried seüeral other online language courses prior to purchasing this one and i got to say that Rocket Chinese win them all.It is so comprehensiüe and üery structured learning that i am motiüated to learn .
I feel that for the price that i had paid for this course ,it is worth eüery cent .A lot of effort and thinking must haüe been put into the construction of this course.Other courses pale to this Rocket Chinese course.A thousand thanks to those who had put the effort in this course.I encourage those who had not tried this course to do so or you will really miss a lot.
I had made significant progress in my Chinese since i started weeks ago.Eüeryday , i had to at least spent an hour on the course else i feel that i am missing something.iN SHORT ,this is really a wonderfuland great course.Thank you.

Rocket Languages seems to be a way to help a learner to developing a courant vocabulary and sentences of daily usage structures of the Mandarin language.
I enjoyed working with the sound tracks during the time I have free for my language study. I am also happy that I have my lessons so that I may go over all of them once or twice again, when I fell the time to do so.

I'm an engineer and reviewed many competing products like Pimsleur (too audio oriented), Rosetta Stone (no English explanations, just clicking on pictures), Duolingo (not sophisticated enough) and others and finally decided on Rocket Chinese. I was pleasantly surprised with this product because it explains everything I'm learning in English and has wonderful tests, flashcards, and other tools to help me learn. The first lesson started with Ni Hao which is what I expected, where as other applications did not. Highly recommend Rocket for learning any language.

I'm stuck on 1.1 It can't recognise me saying the name "Dave" and "Lewis". And Xing for last name and Na for which. I swear I'm saying it long and low but it keeps thinking I'm saying the other na.

I'm still in the free trial and I'm not sure if this is just a bug I can skip or if i have to pass this.

Just after one day with this program and the help of flash cards I made to help me study, I feel comfortable greeting someone in mandarin while actually knowing what I am saying, I know this will be a long journey but I feel this program will be crucial in getting me to speaking fluent mandarin!

It was nice. But when i buy the rocket chinese pack they keep asking me to buy more packs and keep giving me discounts nonono.
