I am excited about starting this program. I feel I can actually learn Chinese and attain a level of proficiency that will allow me to work and visit China. I like the Pinyin. I like the audio and interactive lesson. I am starting this program with a very positive attitude.
I'm a newbie but I find it systematic and well laid out. I can imagine it really teaching me a lot thoroughly
I like the variety of teaching methods. The character writing portion is great.
Great product with a surprising amount of useful phrases worked into the dialogue. Love being able to act out a conversation. Only thing lacking would be a direct literal translation of some phrases and words in the lesson screen. But otherwise great, I listen to it all the time.
Not as structured as I'd like. Some of the lessons seem unnecessary, as I wouldn't use them in everyday life. I have previously used Pimsleur but thought this was a better deal. I prefer the lessons with the interactive audio kind of like Pimsleur. the other lessons aren't super helpful, but I guess they are nice to have... I wish there was more repetition of phrases instead of single words. Interface on both app and browser are outdated and could use some major updates (especially the app). Kinda buggy, but that is forgiven. I also use the hellochinese app, and it is great. Might go back to Pimsleur if it wasn't so overpriced.
A wonderful opportunity to learn a foreign language, quickly in the comfort of your own home. Rocket languages affords one to instantly review his or her speaking voice through instant replay. Amazing course for young and old alike!
Rocket Chinese has a lot of interesting features, but some don't seem to work as intended. I tried many times to do the testing...but somehow, it never registers when I do the speaking, although the microphone displays the profile it should have...lately the vocabulary did not seem to register eiter anymore when I put words into it.
I like the coverage in Rocket Chinese III in terms of vocabulary and grammar. The conversations between Lin and Tao are sometimes a little corny, but mostly cover relevant and useful situations. I wish there was more connectivity across lessons. Much of the vocabulary introduced in one lesson will never appear again; it would aid learning if more words were repeated over time. On the other hand, occasionally a word that has been introduced before will be introduced again as if it's brand new. I also wish the course would more often ask me to construct sentences based on what I've already learned, rather than simply repeat a sentence that I have just heard.
Rocket Languages,in my opinion have the best method,in order that the students get the most value learnings..In my case ,I try to study to get the most of the Languages, but ,sometimes I don't have time.
Thanks to all of you.
I love the multiple different ways/techniques they employ to make sure that you understand it by reading, writing, listening and having conversation. By the end of the lesson I really am familiar with the words. The work bank also helps break down all the meanings if you still are having trouble after the audio. I am very happy so far.
