Rocket Languages Reviews

So far so good! I like it better than Rosetta Stone and some other packages that I have tried. I have traveled in Russia, but my language skills were 'survival level' at best. I am hoping to pick up my game.

I am so glad I bought Rocket French! The course as a whole is outstanding as it caters to all learning styles. I find it difficult to learn just by ear so being able to write, test and get involved in the actual conversation really helps the new vocabulary sink in! Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to learn a new language. It's much easier and more fun than learning in a class! :D

I would like to say that Rocket Languages is awesome because makes me feel comfortable about learning a difficult language such as Russian. I feel like I have had a immersion in the Russian words and culture, seeming to me as if I were living there...

I became gratefully surprised about the Rocket. They overcame my expectations in the best way!!

One major flaw, which is very frustrating. That is the speech recognition software is of poor quality. I do not know why this was not pretested better. But when saying the same words the same way results in a much higher score there has to be a problem. I listen to my voice played back, and it sounds much more like the Russian speaker's voice than the guess printed by the software. Often with time and no changes necessary it will register 100%. But often it will keep on asking for a repeat. It becomes very tedious. Otherwise the package is well designed, with a grammar emphasis which is necessary but often missing from other packages. So using this package I know why and how I am making a mistake. I have used another package in conjunction with this, but the other package is not sufficient by its own because although memory of the language improves, better understanding of the language is very slow. Rocket Russian helps this.

This is a great site, very easy to use, and very helpful! I would recommend this sight to anyone . I am improving my Russian! Rocket Russian came free through my college linguistic's course so I could not be happier for the price!

I started with Rosetta Stone , I got frustrated when they introduced words and sentences that you had no explanation of. This frustrated me to no end, then I looked at someones blog post that referred to this site and thank God cause this is amazing. I read in someones review posted on this site that you can't go back to listen to something you missed during the conversation. I'd like to set it straight that you can actually use the thing you plug into the computer that allows you to move the cursor on the screen and drag the round circle back to where you want to. You DONT have to finish the conversation to the end and and replay it. *Sigh* Anyway, I'm excited to learn Russian, I have 3 months to get what I can down pat and hopefully be able to carry on some basic conversation, with the parents :) Its great when you have beautiful motivation to keep you engaged in the lessons. Also the mobile app is amazing, I can go on walks and in the car listening to the conversations in full to review. Thanks Rocket Languages!!! I will definitely learn Spanish and then Japanese next if this goes well!

The customer service is completely non existent. I have tried a few language courses over the years and this is by far the worst. It would be helpful to get a response but even that basic service eludes this company. The product offered might be useful if you could only get to it. Finding answers is like pulling your own teeth out. The company offers to learn a language fast ........yeah ok but it takes three days of waiting for.......... Nothing no response. Disgusting

Although I like the system employed, and it is certainly better than the so called market leader, there are some elements which could be improved.

The most frustrating thing for me is the translation facility which is sooooooo slow. How much better it would be if the translation could be downloaded somehow instead of relying on a live connection.

The other obvious point is that it is not possible to use Rocket Language if there is no internet connection

Great course, thank you. It would be better to have a table of comparison with Babbel (German company). They appear you to the same level but you are better.

Finally I found the right course to learn Russian.
