It is an interesting way to learn a languge. Very good to listen to people who speak. It is very realistic and natual. The second time you listen it is easy to remember the words again. I hope I will improve my spanish soon. The use of ipad will do it easy to practice every day, at home, on the bus and when I am walking.
I have been thoroughly impressed with Rocket Language. The best part is that it teaches you how to have real conversations instead of just learning lists of words and conjugations. I have already advanced to the higher level and my proficiency has improved dramatically. I have gone back and listened to lessons that I struggled with in the past, and now, they seem so easy. Rocket Language has been the best source for learning Spanish, more than anything else I have ever tried.
I purchased full French and Spanish courses from Rocket Languages a couple of months ago. Love it! Very affordable. Excellent layout. Love those little snippets of single words and sentences which you can listen to over and over again until it really sinks in. Great variety of topics and perfectly sized lessons on grammar for easy digestion. I didn't expect that taking all the tests at the end of the lesson would help me so much in memorizing words, phrases and sentences. Especially it is very helpful with French words since what you hear and what you write is quite different. Overall, excellent courses! I will definitely buy more from Rocket Languages in the near future and recommend it to all those who want to learn foreign languages with ease.
my eyes are, because of diabetis, failing on me.
Learning different languages makes life a lot better, since reading starts getting very difficult and listening is still fine.
I am not a great student but it is fun to understand persons from other parts of the world!
I have enjoyed Rocket Spanish. The lessons are excellent to listen to and I feel like I am understanding the Spanish language much better.
Rocket Spanish has been a good investment to help me learn Spanish.
So far, so good. Just stick with it. I am hoping to keep myself accountable with the social features.
Response from Rocket Languages
It's great to hear you are enjoying the course so far. We wish you the best of luck with your Spanish!
I tried Rosetta Stone, which I found hard to learn with. I tried Duolingo, which seemed easy at first, but then felt like I was just memorizing a bunch of phrases. I am now using Rocket Spanish and have finally found the right product. I appreciate how they concentrate on a limited number of words per lesson and have you really work with them to feel fairly confident before moving on to the next lesson and set of new words. I am only a few weeks into it but would recommend this program to anyone wanting to learn the basics of a new language.
the system is confusing frustrating and has to much work

I am generally very happy with the spoken feedback and the quality of the instruction of Spanish.
Unfortunately often my mic fails to pick up my spoken answer correctly. I bought a special mic for my iPhone and I hope that the mic performance will improve.
However, I need to review and practice hard points such as writing with the correct accent marks. Doing the harder parts of lessons several times is helpful.
I am very pleased with being able to download lesson lectures. Then I can practice away from the computer. This is very helpful.
One problematic lesson:
In Module one of Rocket Spanish, there is one lesson that is poorly designed. Presently I am doing the alphabet. Why is there no spoken practice of the alphabet? Words are presented as a vocabulary list to be memorized. How useless. ! But there is no testing or practice of spelling which is the object of the lesson. This pointless presentation of the alphabet is unlike the quality of other lessons. I wish it could be redone.
Also, in this lesson it is argued that the alphabet is related to learning the correct pronunciation of Spanish.
Response from Rocket Languages
Hi Ellen - Thanks for the detailed review. As far as the alphabet not having voice recognition, this is because single letters do not work well with voice recognition. It always looks for a word or phrase, which would give mixed results. In saying that further down that page there are examples of each letter of the alphabet in use in common Spanish words. We will email you directly as it does seem strange that we haven't received or replied to your emails.
