Since high school Spanish class was over 30 years ago this is helping bring it all back!
It is actually fun going through the lessons. And, each testing section is quite helpful for repetition.
I'm looking forward to becoming quite proficient with the help of Rocket Spanish!
It takes you step by step. You can start and stop, review and rewind on areas you need help with. It is vey helpful. They speak slowly and clearly so it can be understood but not so slowly that it becomes frustrating. I listen to it when I run in the mornings or am driving. If I go a long period of not studying, it still comes back to me. When practicing I verbally say the words out loud which helps a great deal. Great program.
I quite like reviewing the dashboard and that encourages me not to miss days and shows I'm making steady progress. I like the dashboard that encourages me not to miss days and shows I'm making steady progress.
I really enjoy the audio lessons, which I download to my phone to listen while jogging/driving/cooking etc. The video lessons I downloaded were also good with situational Spanish. As well, the text material is well thought out. I just moved to a Spanish speaking country so this website has helped immensely! Thanks!
My first lesson was easy and a great first step towards mastering Spanish. My goal is to be able to converse with many of my neighbors and friends living in New Mexico. I plan to spend a couple of hours each day learning Spanish.
I got Rocket Spanish four years ago after much hemming and hawing. I wanted to become a bilingual Spanish teacher for elementary grades (I did ;). I was preparing for 6 weeks of Spanish Language immersion in Costa Rica, and wanted to make the most of my time there. I didn't want to waste time learning the Basics in a foreign country.
I started with the Premium program, because I was leery of the cost and not sure of the quality. I was quickly convinced it was a solid investment, and decided Premium Plus would be a worthwhile. I had a great time in Costa Rica, and felt like my Spanish foundations were solid. I love Mauricio, and especially his mom. I enjoyed the audio conversations, so listening to them was never a chore.
Here I am four years later, and now I need to learn Chinese (my fiance is Chinese, and his family is visiting soon, for the wedding :). I've looked at lots of programs, and I am having as much trouble as when I was looking for Spanish programs. I thought I should give Rocket Languages another shot.
I logged in to my old account, No Problem!!! It's been four years, I was expecting my account to have been de-actived. Nope, it was waiting for me the whole time. Reflecting on my positive Spanish experience, I'm going to give Rocket Chinese a try. I am optimistic I will be able to leave another glowing review.
I keep coming back to Rocket Spanish because it just make sense in the flow of study. I have tried every other course and this seems to be the one that "clicks" for me, has the right mix between audio and visual (reading) material.
I'm glad I found this! I'm a parent who have a son in high school. It help me to help him with his spanish. Still have a long way to go. Without this I don't know where we be, been searching for way to learn more til I found this.
I`m new here and so far I really like it.
Since i`ve paid for it, I`m motivated to learn the `good` spanish.
We `re going to study some in Spain for the next three weeks.
Now refresh the vocab and let`s hope that there will be a higher level waiting then A1 or A2 :-)
After that, the goal will be to get more fluent and be able to talk about anything.
Fingers crossed
Overall a decent program. I listened to the audio for the most part. The games started out being fun, but ended up being a little simple and repetitive. There are two things I would appreciate:
1. Organized sets of rules for verb conjugations, prepositions, etc. I ended up with several sheets from my high school Spanish class, and even though this program was so much better overall, this is the one thing that would've helped.
2. Simple videos, readings, or audio that is understandable from the current lesson and lessons before. Even if it was something like "See Jack run" it would be helpful and informative for Spanish learning.
