I enjoy Rocket German, as it has been the most useful medium for learning a new language short of just dropping into Germany to learn. I am an incurable do-it-yourself-er and Rocket German has been nothing short of encouraging to me. I use it every evening, along with Rocket Russian and I even manage to use it on my phone if I have a few dead moments during the workday to review what I did the night before. Whenever opportunity has presented itself, I've "test-driven" what I've learned in practical application and have been pleased with the results. I have a favorite German restaurant and use it there at times, although the only German speaker there is the owner, so it's only infrequently that I can use it there, but German tourists come to my part of the world occasionally and I do what I can to see if I can make a meaningful attempt at a conversation. It is my goal to be reasonably fluent in 5-years so that when I decide to do a 2-year work stint in Europe at that time, I'll be prepared.

I am very pleased so far, I can go at my own pace and repeat lessons till I remember. I really like the way it shows the spelling in both languages, and they carefully break it down to make it as easy as possible. I am also pleased with the alphabet being available. I have learned a few words in Russian on lesson 1 that I can pronounce, read and remember! I did not expect that. I am very pleased. I have already recommended to a coworker and I Recommend it to everyone!

The voice recognition is terrible and only works intermittently before giving me the "Looks like speech recognition is currently busy. Please try again" message. Customer "service" tells me to do what I'm already doing (use Chrome browser, fast internet etc.). They acknowledge that their voice recognition doesn't always work and advise me to "skip" those parts. Skipping isn't a solution to the problem! I used Rocket before for German and it was very good. Now I just want to skip this program completely and get a refund.

I purchased Rocket Languages to help me communicate with my family and friends that speak Spanish whether native speakers or ones that learned at some level of school. The program is easy to navigate. The games and audio lessons allow for revisits at any time for a refresher. The quizzes helps by checking to see if you understand what you just learned. The addition of the mobile app allows me to learn on the road. Rocket Languages has helped me get in touch with the Latin part of my ethnicity and helps me understand and enjoy the cultural experience more. I would recommend Rocket Language to any of my friends that would like to learn Spanish.

Rockt Italian is very well designed. There is lots of repitition. Learning aids such as flash cards and the voice recording feature make this the best overall package I've found. The prompts in English, in which you are required to provide the correct word in Italian, cement the learning and highlight the words and phrases that haven't stuck. The biggest obstacle to learning is my own brain. After months, and hours of hours of practice, my progress in the real world is quite limited. I am recognizing more and more individual words and phrases. Things like numbers, days of the week, names of vegetables and products at the store, etc. are becoming familiar. However, I still cannot hold a simple conversation. But it's due to my facilty with learning a language, not the program. I mention this because there's no magical cure to learn a language. Lots and lots of practice and hearing the language in everyday transactions is the only way.

The only poorly-performing feature is the voice recordings in the practice exercises. I have a good headset with a microphone almost touching my mouth. It often doesn't work--the program can't pick up what I'm saying, or hears it wrong. There should be a built-in mic test in the program that lets you boost the levels and dial it in bettter. Or just a better recording module installed.

Salut! This is a superb way to learn a language from scratch or to brush up your skills through revising what you have previously learnt at home, school or college.

Excellent value for money, I cannot recommend this course highly enough. Learning during the lockdown? This will benefit you no end. X

Have just started 2 months and so loving the course. Especially loving multi-learning ways of reinforcing what you are learning so that it stays. Totally and absolutely happy. Wishing all those thinking about Rocket French a quick jump in and have much fun, It is really tops.

I am really enjoying hearing both male and female speakers in the audio. I think the pronunciation is slow enough that I can hear each aspect of the word.The reinforcement activities are very helpful to me as well. Gracias!

I'm signed onto and using many of the Rocket Languages courses. They are of tremendous benefit to me and helping me in my understanding and communicating with many people around the world! Great job to the team creators! Many successes ahead! Lisa K

I don't know what magic they use but it is the only courses that gave me enjoyment by feeling how fast I progressed.

At first it might seem hard but the next day you wake up remembering about 50-80% of the things you learnt the previous day.

I've already used duolingo (way to primary), assimil (outdated sorry...), busuu (I gave up and didn't learn that much by completing the first section to go from A1 to A2), rosetta stone( lol no way to frustrating).

If you're a beginner I'd recommend to learn on the desktop than the app because of the tools available.

The after-sales services are professional, trustworthy and you can download the audios so you don't have to worry about an exit scam or anything like that.

PRO TIP: if you don't feel like paying the full price (because you're broke like me) you can check their affilates or wait for a promotion.
