Rockt Italian is very well designed. There is lots of repitition. Learning aids such as flash cards and the voice recording feature make this the best overall package I've found. The prompts in English, in which you are required to provide the correct word in Italian, cement the learning and highlight the words and phrases that haven't stuck. The biggest obstacle to learning is my own brain. After months, and hours of hours of practice, my progress in the real world is quite limited. I am recognizing more and more individual words and phrases. Things like numbers, days of the week, names of vegetables and products at the store, etc. are becoming familiar. However, I still cannot hold a simple conversation. But it's due to my facilty with learning a language, not the program. I mention this because there's no magical cure to learn a language. Lots and lots of practice and hearing the language in everyday transactions is the only way.

The only poorly-performing feature is the voice recordings in the practice exercises. I have a good headset with a microphone almost touching my mouth. It often doesn't work--the program can't pick up what I'm saying, or hears it wrong. There should be a built-in mic test in the program that lets you boost the levels and dial it in bettter. Or just a better recording module installed.

I purchased Rocket Languages to help me communicate with my family and friends that speak Spanish whether native speakers or ones that learned at some level of school. The program is easy to navigate. The games and audio lessons allow for revisits at any time for a refresher. The quizzes helps by checking to see if you understand what you just learned. The addition of the mobile app allows me to learn on the road. Rocket Languages has helped me get in touch with the Latin part of my ethnicity and helps me understand and enjoy the cultural experience more. I would recommend Rocket Language to any of my friends that would like to learn Spanish.

The voice recognition is terrible and only works intermittently before giving me the "Looks like speech recognition is currently busy. Please try again" message. Customer "service" tells me to do what I'm already doing (use Chrome browser, fast internet etc.). They acknowledge that their voice recognition doesn't always work and advise me to "skip" those parts. Skipping isn't a solution to the problem! I used Rocket before for German and it was very good. Now I just want to skip this program completely and get a refund.

Overall Rocket Spanish has been outstanding. I like how they teach Spanish and how they use the previous lessons to build upon the next lesson. I like the review at the end of each lesson to help reinforce what you learned. I also like the fact that the words are shown in the lesson. Seeing how the word is written helps me to pronounce the word correctly.

I wish there was a way to click on additional information within the lessons about certain words and their use such as Estoy vs Soy and Eres vs Estas. I had to Google those words to understand when it is appropriate to use them so that I would understand and remember.

I started using the phone app and playing the lessons through my car speakers as I'm driving. I love having that capability.

Just started but after having tried out several others, love the way this program works. Hopefully I will continue to move smoothly from lesson to lesson. This is a great way to review a language you have previously learned and want to come back to.

I’ve just started using the program but so far I love it. I always thought I needed to study a textbook (I do have the background and have already learned the script) but this is extremely convenient. I’m listening every time I’m in the car and also at night. Even though books had an audio component, it wasn’t convenient so I’d mostly just practice saying things to myself. Now I’m actually listening and speaking the language (which is the whole point!). I’ve also used Rosetta Stone and much prefer Rocket Hindi. This has the convenience of the app but also some explanation instead of me just guessing like in Rosetta Stone.

I have tried before many different softwares for learning Spanish and unfortunately I found them quite boring and not very effective. I have been using Rocket Spanish for a week now and I have to tell you that I already stared to use the material from the first 5 classes in normal life. The method used here absolutely fits my needs and I am very optimistic about my future results. I also really like that I can access the material on an app on my phone. That gives me the freedom to learn wherever I am. So far "thumbs up" for Rocket Spanish.

I'm learning much more than I thought was possible online and having a good deal of fun Rocket Languages really gave me the tools to succeed with my new language .I love the way the process tests you not only on your memory but also on your enunciation of the language. Many times my intonation is not what it should be and the system catches it. Thank you Rocket Language

Really "tongue's on" learning. I love Russian and could not learn it without a speaker. This solves the problem. The pronounce and playback option is endless fun for me since I like to hone my pronunciation of Russian. It's VERY different from English pronunciation. I'm finding new rooms in my speech range.

I never thought I could have so much fun learning a language! I actually wake up with it on my mind and I can't wait to learn more. Your program has placed a passion within me that I can't extinguish. I am hooked! Thank you so much for helping me identify this passion. My dream is to learn Mandarin and because of your program I am confident that I can accomplish the task and enjoy it at the same time.
