I started the last 5 days learning Russian seriusly! I committed myself to wake up in the morning and start learning at least 30 mins. Watching the strikes and the points help with my motivation. I think this time I will really learn the language. In other to learn a language is not enough to say that you this lesson, you need to recall the information, and there are some options that I use in other to know if I did. It is amazing to hit the button a listen to it again, it really helps to have a good pronunciation. I use only English, when I want to review, then I speak and hit play. So far so good, I love my Russian Program, I have Level 1, 2, and Travelodges. The information is solid, I supplement myself with other programs too like Michel Thomas.
I started learning French more than a year ago. It is quite an interesting language, though somewhat more difficult than some other languages for me. I find Rocket French easy to go with, structured, and with plenty of opportunity to practice. I see that after listening and practicing different sentences or phrases from the audio lessons, they stay with me. I am able to use them without much effort while practicing French in other contexts. The hosts are nice too, especially Paul and Marie-Claire.
One observation: when I practice the speaking, a few times I need to repeat the given word/phrase and it shows "Sorry, I didn't catch that. Please try again". Sometimes, of course, it's because my pronunciation is not be correct, but many times I give the same pronunciation consecutively- the first time is not right, the second one it is.
I couldn't get into it as I am at a more advanced level and I could find much in my trial edition. I never signed up to pay because of that. I didn't use customer service and can't really say about the price and I don't remember what it was. I'm guessing it would be okay if I had seen that the program was helpful in the trial. It would help to have a more helpful trial version.

Response from Rocket Languages: Hi Mago - If you did sign up for a Level and found it was either too easy or too hard then we would gladly swap it free of charge to a more suitable one.
i am so happy learning Rocket English this course is awesome repeating and typing the words i hope everybody is doing the same as me i'm so happy...Thank you Rocket English!!!!! i"ll getting practicing with my coworkers and all the people around me...
I got my start in Spanish with them. The courses are very well done. I recorded the lessons on MP3 and listened to them and spoke out loud while stuck in traffic. I have always had access to my lessons online with all the updates they have done over the years. I travel to Cuba every year and what I have learned in priceless. I highly recommend it.
I started to learn Arabic with Rocket Languages a few months ago and it is by far the best learning tool I have ever tried despite the fact that I am not a native English speaker. I tried many tools in the past and each time I gave up after a few weeks whereas with Rocket Languages I always want to go further in my learning. the interactive audio lessons are really good and easy to understand.
There is a lot to love about Rocket Languages - particularly the way you are encouraged to speak and interact with the material. The material, though, is the reason I am cancelling Rocket German Level 3. There are many useful words, structures, and conversations here, but I seriously have to question the didactic approach. Explanations of necessary grammar concepts were often missing or incomplete. Useless vocabulary (e.g. "Ha ha") is given equal weight with sentences much too long to memorize. Good model sentences are mixed in with numerous old song lyrics, tongue twisters, and "Max und Moritz" lines which should be presented just for entertainment. I was spending far too much time trying to weed out the material that had no real value for learning German. I must admit that I'm disappointed in this course. I've used Rocket French and was very impressed, but this course needs an overhaul before I can either use or recommend it.
Note from Rocket Languages: Hi David, thanks a lot for leaving us a review. We're currently in the process of reviewing Rocket German - so this is valuable feedback! We're sorry you weren't satisfied with the course and hope you might reconsider after Rocket German Level 3 is updated. Until then - happy learning! Your Rocket German Team
I love this program so far! The courses are so well designed, inspiring and interesting. They are much better than the 2 other courses I have tried. It builds confidence because you start speaking and understanding right away. I have already told quite a few people about it! I liked the Premium program in just the first few lessons that I bought the entire The Works program.

Love it, love it, love it. I have done Rossetta Stone and Duolingo. Of course, I did learn a lot with them but I like this method better. You not only learn the language but about the culture. I just hope I have a discount when I want to learn other languages. I know a little of French and want to improve. Doing Italian right now. After French I want to do Portughese.
I've been learning French on my own for 5 years, and although my reading/writing skills are an upper intermediate level, my comprehension/oral skills are not sufficient for getting by in France. Rocket French is changing that after only 1 module! By far, the best comprehension skills program I've seen.
The price isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for, and with Rocket French, you get a lot! And I like the humor - it's good to break out into a laugh during the lesson. Definitely recommend!
