All reviews are genuine. The only ones we don't publish are ones that are offensive, and/or are not actual reviews. And with this one it's arguable :)
I learn languages my entire life. I tried countless sources, strategies, techniques, and methods. I can say that I have never encountered a course that was as good as Rocket Languages. I enjoy learning Japanese and will eventually try Spanish and maybe Arabic, as learning languages is quite fun. There is no way I will be getting courses from somewhere else, Rocket Languages is simply brilliant. I strongly recommend everyone, who wants to learn a language, to try it!
This approach to tackling Russian is exactly what I needed. I started the language with textbooks and grammar and only managed to frustrate myself. Since starting Rocket Russian, I've seen massive improvement in my listening and speaking abilities and I couldn't be more motivated to keep learning! It's brilliant!
This is a great tool to learn another language and I would definitely recommend it to my friends. In fact, I did recommend it today and she purchased it. Now we are learning together and can converse at work.
After trying to learn something from free online French courses, I realized that they generally don't really work. The vocabulary does not stick, and the grammar rules are often not explained well. Hence I figured I should spend some money to purchase a more professional course in order to get some actual results. I ended up with Rocket French, of which I now finishing two chapters (~20 lessons in total). And indeed, there is a world of difference:
1) The concept seems thought through; people say it is repetitive, and I tend to agree. However, the amount of repetition seems just right: I still remember all the words from the lessons I took one month ago. 2) Motivation remains high, even after weeks. The amount of new stuff introduced in each lesson is neither too little nor too much. As an exception, I want to mention lesson 2.9, in which I felt overwhelmed. 3) The native female speaker does a remarkable job, not only giving an example for good pronunciation, but routinely using voice inflection to emphasize the meaning of words, which is really helpful. 4) The provided material about French culture and the tips for effectively learning languages is also quite nice.
Hi, Learning from Rocket Japanese is easy and fast and one gets to know the real feel also because of the conversations. However, as you can understand that any study without aim is worthless. I would suggest that you add more study material which is matchable to the quality of questions to the JLPT levels. This will convince more and more users to join your course and also give a benchmark for them to rate them against a real life test or hurdle.
I love learning French with the complete courses. It's fun, challenging, interacting, and very encouraging. I love the voices of the audio lessons with Paul and Claire in the beginning lessons. Also by learning to write in French is a great way to learn and remember as well. I wish though the complete courses had pictures with the sentences that would help improve the lesson as well as be able to talk live online with other students, It would even be so much more fun and make friends as an extra benefit. I love earning badges and points too that helps me to be more motivated to keep learning. I am happy I bought this complete course and will recommend it to my friends.
ZACHARIA JOHOLA,
I heartily accept the work of the Rocket Language team, because I have gained a rapid and great advancement in the French Language though it 's less than a six-day period since I discovered and started to use this golden chance of learning the language which has been as day-dream for to understand it. Before I got the laptop I currently posses the environment was not friendly to me in learning this Foreign language through the most comprehensive Rocket Languages Program. I absolutely promise to be the permanent member of the site for I find it very helpful to me as a beginner to a new language (French).
I have not yet completed the course, but I solely recommend the Program to anyone else who finds a comprehensive and less time consuming program for self learning.
Living and working in France is My comforting dream. Keep it up Rocket Languages Team, you are the most wanted and helpful tool in self-learning of the Foreign Language.
I've tried rosetta stone, duolingo, memrise, etc, and none have even come close to the comprehensive experience rocket languages has provided me with. It blows my mind that I leave the audio lessons with a sense of confidence that I accurately remembered everyword that Kenny and Sayaka had us repeat. Really well done.
Cheers!
I've enjoyed learning Spanish with Rocket Languages, but delving into Korean proved to be unexpected challenging. Any Korean teaching material that starts from the beginner level should include lessons on Hangul, but that's lacking in Rocket Language Korean. Fine, I taught myself Hangul using other sources. Not being familiar with Asian languages in general, Korean was much harder for me to pronounce and speak quickly. The speaking exercises are way too demanding in terms of accuracy of pronunciation and the speed at which you have to respond and often my responses get truncated halfway because I'm trying to remember the exact wording. From the very first introductory lesson, there are a lot of more complicated phrases and vocab that get thrown in which are tested, and almost impossible for a beginner to get right. It's been a frustrating experience all around. I guess I'll stick to Romance languages, and use other materials to learn Korean.

Hi Mengsha - We took your feedback onboard and now the very first Language and Culture lesson is indeed on Hanguel and Korean pronunciation in general.
