Unbelievable!!! Did I ever know that learning a language could be so fun and interesting. I am my own Master!! Its all entirely up to me how fast and how much I learn. With all the interesting features, who wouldn't look forward to moving to the next level everyday!!!
Kept interesting and is thorough. There was a problem at purchasing (my fault) which was resolved cheerfully and quickly. I am already glad for choosing Rocket and recommend to anyone.................
I love Rocket Languages for their simple forthright teaching method and ease of participation. I am currently 80 years young and studying Italian and Spanish. I look forward to beginning Latin next year. I took German for two years about 10 years ago.
This app has helped me so much with improving my Korean skills. I started off with this website knowing zero words of Korean and now I can not only read, but write it. It provides you with authentic accents and full conversations between native Korean speakers which make it easier to pronounce the words correctly and understand the way they communicate. I'm so happy to have stumbled upon a website that is not only affordable but also very user friendly. I would recommend this to anyone who is beginning a language or even someone who is unsure of where they stand on a language. It really helps you a lot.
Rocket Languages is a great way to learn the language. I just completed my my first lesson in Rocket Spanish and I should say that I have had a great experience so far and enjoyed learning new words and grammar. I did not encounter any issues/negatives yet so far, and time will tell. The speaking after learning is a great way to remember what we learned so far with virtual interaction. I wish they had some pictures that can strengthen our ability to interact in a fun way, but that's just my feeling. I am a novice and it sets a good tone to the people who want to learn something new. I hope the engagement remains the same as I delve deeper into the course, but I can say that I can recommend this course/program to anyone who wants to jump in and learn a new language whether it is for personal/professional reasons or for a fun experience.

Thank you for the thoughtful and encouraging review, Seeta! We're thrilled that your first lesson in Rocket Spanish has been such a positive experience. It's great to hear you're enjoying the mix of grammar, vocabulary, and speaking practice. We appreciate your suggestion about adding visuals; that’s valuable feedback. We're committed to keeping the experience engaging and effective as you progress. Thanks for recommending us, and best of luck on your learning journey!
I am studying French in an on-site Immersion course and was looking for something to better prepare me for classes and supplement my learning. Rocket French employs many of the same techniques use in my Immersion settings. The transcripts are helpful, the recordings are very clearly spoken , the games reinforce the learning. Love it.
I got to the Spanish Interactive Audio Lesson 1.6 and I give up. The Rocket Record is terrible. I have a headset with a microphone (I'm not using my computer's built-in mic) and I have problems with the transcriptions about 40% of the time - and, believe it or not, it's not me. I live in Spain and I'm often told that my pronunciation is very good. Incredibly frustrating. Also, in the exercises, they'll ask you what is the Spanish for, say, "doctor" but they don't tell you if they want masculine or feminine. There are a number of spelling mistakes as well: such as when there's no accent mark where there should be an accent mark. And I love you Amy but, boy, are you annoying. The audio lessons are much too long and could easily be shortened if Amy would just get to the point. Finally, a note to Maurice: no means NO. If you ask someone if you can take her photo and she says no, drop it and move on. If you ask a woman for her phone number and she politely demurs, as Amy did, back off. You're creeping me out, man!

Hi Steven - Thanks for submitting a review. Are you mainly using the course on Safari? or the iOS app? There haven't been any reports of voice recognition problems that I know of, but we would like to get to the bottom of what's causing your issues in case it affects other people as well. Please send as much detail as you can to customer support. With regards the masc/fem notation; we have only been notating when it is the feminine version, as otherwise the amount of notations would be enormous. Also, right now we are in the middle of a comprehensive review of Rocket Spanish, and things like the accent marks and spelling mistakes are being (re)proofed as we speak. All of the Interactive Audio lessons have been done, and right now the Language & Culture lessons are being looked at. And, yes, Amy can be a little polarizing! Unfortunately Amy and Mauricio now live in different countries, so re-recording some of the more macho style conversations is going to be a bit tricky. We are aware that these days a small amount of the content is verging on inappropriate, and we are trying to formulate a plan to sort it out in the odd places that it occurs.
This reviews Rocket Languages' Chinese Premium and Premium Plus. The program is well organized in its audio and website. Audio lessons use a typical conversation to teach new words and basic grammar lessons. Lin Ping, the teacher for the course, has a good clear Northern Chinese accent and speaks the majority of the time. It is peculiar that she converses with Dave, an Austrailian with a good accent, but not one I'd try to imitate if I was trying to blend in while visiting. This is fixed in the Premium Plus section. There is some English to introduce the subject and context, but the majority of the lesson is repeating words while you can follow a written transcript in Pinyin and I think Simplified characters. Then you practice memorizing by repeating sections of the conversation, hearing and identifying words, and speaking the words in Chinese knowing their equivalent in English. (hard!) The only major complaint is a lack of a translation dictionary to double check if the words you are adding to your vocabulary have the right definition (the audio tapes breeze through definitions only once); when looking up a word you will most often find it used in other lessons/sentences.
Loving the program so far. I was doing duolingo for months and still never felt like I could have a real conversation with anyone. I'm just 3 courses into rocket and feel like I could can actually use what I have learned. My favorite part is being able to do courses while I drive.
