This programme is worth every dollar that I've spent on it. It's interactive, easy to understand, with lots of activities and testings to grow your own skills. I am totally addicted to it. I love how I can practice it online and offline with downloadable materials. The programme gives me great motivation to keep learning. I am officially a big fan of Rocket Languages.
I am a new user of Rocket Languages, and I am having a great time. For years I played around with the idea of learning the Korean language, but I had no idea how to take the first step. Rocket has given me the opportunity to study Korean at my own pace, without worrying about deadlines or expectations. I like the feel of being on a personal journey, since that was my expectation from the very beginning. Ultimately, I would like to become fluent in the language before I make my first trip to South Korea. I think that learning the language before hand would show locals respect when I communicate, and give them an idea of who I am as a foreigner in their country. I would like to make a good impression, for myself and for others.
I have not yet rated this program five stars, only because I have retained very little vocabulary in my first month. My lack of memory could be my own fault, because I don't have very much spare time on my hands to study for hours daily. However, I would like anyone reading this to know that Rocket Languages offers an amazing way to get your foot through the door. Please know that I am actively working to give more time and attention to my studies. I hope that by the end of this month, I will meet my initial goals.
I moved to Austria four years ago, and I could not have been so successful without Rocket German! Rocket German helped me launch my German language career in Austria. Using only Rocket German as my primary guide, I was able to get around quite comfortably using the basic phrases I had learned. From then on I have continued to expand my vocabulary through the lessons and through my own experience. I now have a job here and work primarily in German. Rocket Languages continues to improve usability and learning options every year without making per-existing students pay more for the additional features. With the App, I can take the lessons everywhere I go now! I always recommend Rocket Languages as the best place to begin the study of new languages! Thanks Rocket German!
absolutely awesome...progressive with tons of review...native speakers and conversation that is relevant and grammar and sentence structure. I would love it there were also most common (2000?) vocabulary building lists to use. i am using other resources for that as i also want to start building vocabulary. The more words you know the better...not just introductory conversation.
When I first started University back in 2017 I decided to take on the Japanese language and looked at so many resources. Rocket languages came up back then but I passed on it because of the price (poor student life). I tried many other resources but none of them really teach the language more than show you some phrases and make you memorise stuff.
I decided to try learn the language again and after finishing all the free lessons I figured I should make use of the discount and took the dive to purchase the course. I have only been learning for 4 days so far but in that time I have learnt more that I did in 2 weeks back when I first tried.
Everything is covered from written language, spoken language, grammar, you name it!
Highly recommend Rocket Japanese to anyone looking to give it a try. I'm sure the other languages are great too!

We’re really sorry to hear about your experience with voice recognition on Safari, Connor. If you're open to it, please reach out to support@rocketlanguages.com so we can look into what went wrong with the phrase you mentioned and try to help. All the best!
Rocket Languages gives a good and easy opportunity to start learning a new language, its audio lessons are of much fun and success, one can listen to the lessons during his way to work, for example. So having spent only about 20-30 minutes per day (approximate duration of one lesson) and even not paying so much attention to grammatical rules (which one may consider boring) you find yourself in some days easily understanding new colloquial language.
Ever thought about learning something new? Rocket Languages is the best to start learning a language which you thought might be difficult to study! You'll be impressed how it is in fact easy to talk!
Quite simply, Rocket works! I’ve tried other major products with previous languages, that weren’t nearly as effective as Rocket, despite them costing a lot. I am learning Italian at a much quicker rate than I expected based on previous experience, and it’s sticking! I like the repetition and reinforcement methodology, supported via multiple tools, including flash cards and voice recognition exercises. I highly recommend Rocket compared to others.
I am now working on the 3rd module of the Hindi course, so I've tested the programme a fair bit. Hindi must be about the 20th language I study, so I have some idea of what learning a language is about.
While I enjoy the app, the format, the light-heartedness of the dialogues and voice actors, I am frustrated by a number of things.
First of all, there are too many typos for a language course. As a learner, I shouldn't be left wondering what's going on, only to realize later that it was a typo. There are too many weird things happening, like odd or irregular translations, plurals instead of singulars, the female voice actor reading a first-person response in the masculine, etc. All this gets in the way of the otherwise fun topics and voice actors. It adds confusion to an already difficult process.
Second, I disagree with the general principle that the student should just repeat without understanding. I'm fine with putting emphasis on the carelessness of "just repeat and you'll eventually get it", and it does remove pressure from the student to perform, but there are grammatical questions that need to be explained (even with some simple additional written material), and to leave it to chance, frankly, just feels lazy.
I love it it is one of the best apps ever for learning!
I am so glad I tried it out!
